Ok...I just revised my old, faitful FP macro that has been around forever and ever. This new incarnation is much more streamlined, and modular for easy editing.
Here's what you do...
First, create a new macro and name it Buy: -- this will handle the FP purchase from the recruiter.
/conversationstart;
/pause 1;
/ui action conversationResponse5; <<------- if you lose your option to go Covert, change the 5 to a 4 and the macro will work fine.
/pause 1;
/ui action conversationResponse3;
/pause 1;
/ui action conversationResponse0;
/conversationstop;
/m Buy;
Next, create another macro and name it Transfer: -- this will handle the /delegation.
/del [client] 200;
/pause 6;
/m Transfer;
Finally, create the "master" macro, which I named FPXfer: -- this ties everything together.
/m Buy;
/pause .5;
/m Transfer;
Now, you can modify the pauses as necessary to compensate for lag or whatever. I ran it in an Imp Detachment HQ earlier and had no problems with the 1 second pauses and a ping of 80ish.
The modular nature of the macro means you have less to edit than the old, long version that's in my old guide to selling FP.
You can also create new macros to delegate a set number of points.
FP1000
/m FPXfer;
/pause 31.5; <<------ pause is based on the /pause from the Transfer module. In this case it's 5x+1. Add 1 second just as a cushion.
/conversationstop; <<-----just in case it times out in the middle of a Buy.
/dump;
FP5000
/m FPXfer;
/pause 151.5;
/conversationstop;
/dump;
FP10000
/m FPXfer;
/pause 301.5;
/conversationstop;
/dump;

The pause in the Transfer module is based on the number and length of pauses in the Buy module.
In my example above, there are 4, 1-second pauses in the Buy module...and it needs to run twice before the Transfer module loops. So...4x1=4... 4x2=8 ... Add a 1-second pause for a cushion ... and that's where my 9 seconds come from.
Any other questions? Comments? Feedback?

Looks great Dreven . Does this mean you've found a market on Starsider?
Eh...more or less...it's REALLY slow...
I really do need it to pick up...since I've kinda sunk alot of creds into getting my operation up and running...
The macro revision is more a product of being bored at work than anything else...*shrug*...

BTW...I know the FP1000 macro works because that's how I tested my timings...transferring FP from my alt to my main, I started with 771 FP and when the macro dumped, I ended up with the correct 1771 FP. To say the least, I was very proud of myself...

I have to admit that within a day of coming back to Bria I was asked to do a rebel faction deal. Not because of rep either.
Which was a darn good thing as I'd given all my credits away when I last left.
Nothing since that, yet I'm not exactly trying to get back into the business either. Great macro revision dreven. The total faction traded part of it sets it light years ahead of the other

I've got pretty much the same setup except I delegate 100 at a time. Why you ask?
1. Because the client seems to think it's running super fast than when i do it at 200. Imagine that.
2. Because I have a thriving faction selling business and most of my orders are odd ball numbers and when I do it at 100 at a time I can make a custom macro in a few seconds for them.
Gone are the days where I wasn't paying attention and gave someopne too much faction thereby losing money

Yeah...the only problem I forsee is if you lag and miss a Buy...that'll throw off the number. So, you probably still want to have some kind of backup way keeping track of how many points you've delegated. It's not so much a problem with the smaller numbers...1000 / 5000 ...since they run through pretty quickly...but when you get into the 10s of thousands, the macro will have to run so many times that your chance of error increases the longer the macro has to run.
And I don't know who 1-starred you, but we've got that fixed up this morning...

I discovered that running it as it was (without the pause) kicked both of the modules off at the same time and it sometimes got mixed up and missed a Buy.

Also had to change the pauses in the 1000, 5000, and 10000 point transfers, since it now takes 9.5 seconds to run through the FPXfer macro.

Instead of a /pause 9 for the Transfer module, it's now a pause 7. This decreases the pauses in the 1000, 5000, and 10000 point macros.
I figured out that if you pause too long on the Transfer module, the Buy module will eventually start to outrun the Transfer. This will cause missed Buys and generally screw up your timings.
The .5 pause in the FPXfer, is just to offset the Transfer module from the Buy module. It's not looping, so it will not accumulate like the pauses in the modules, which are looping. It just ensures that the Transfer module will stay .5 seconds ahead of the Buy module.
Hopefully, this will work out the current kinks I've experienced. I'll have to wait until I get another FP order before I can fully test this out.

Three Hotfixes in such a short time. DrevenStrobe, Master of the Delegating Macro Madness.
'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.' 'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice. 'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come to the smuggler forums.'
I removed the /pause .5 at the end of the Buy module (the one between /conversationstop; and /m Buy; ), as it caused a cumulative time increase in the macro that was unnecessary. Meaning that as the macro looped it built up over time (ie: 10 loops = a 5 second increase over time).
I also decreased the pause in the Transfer module to a 6.
And I swapped the kickoff order of the Buy and Transfer modules in the FPXfer master.
Now, if I've got it figured right, the FPXfer will work like this:
1. You'll kick off the FPXfer macro.
2. It will kick off the Buy module.
3. 1/2 second later, it will /del 200. If you don't have the 200 points, it shouldn't matter, as the macros should sync on the next pass.
4. The Buy module runs through 2 times (6 seconds).
5. 1/2 second after the second Buy, the Transfer module /del 200 to the client.
The 2 modules should now be constantly offset by .5. You should take in 250 points every 6 seconds, and /del 200 every 6 seconds with a .5 second offset.
This is all theoretical however until I can actually test it.

This is by far one of the best Macro's in game, as well as the HARDEST to get to work corrently. Being a macro geek myself, this one has troubled me for months and months.

My macro knowledge has grown quite a bit over the last few months. Breaking the FP macro down wasn't that difficult after I understood a little more about the system.
The trick (as evidenced by all of my editing this morning) is to get the timings to work and to get both of the modules to sync up.
I'm interested to try my newest edits and see what the outcome will be.

Awsome, thanks for the macro
They should make faction cheaper, so more people will buy it
We should be allowed to place turrets at NPC cities (they would only attack overts) and the people with the most control the city and get reduced, travel or clone, or bazaar fees :P
The Macro itself works fine. My Problem is that the Chatoptions seem to change its order randomly.
sometimes the macro pops up the leave faction dialog...next loop it runs smooth...then it pops up the buying faction stuff dialog...then runs smooth again...and so on.
why cant the devs just make an interface like getting money from the bank for FP?
