I'm not a jedi and I'm not a BH so I can't really comment on any of that.

The furniture containers I'm excited about.  Its about time.  That probably should have been in a looong time ago.  Curious why we can't rename them like we can rename backpacks though....

Vendors:  I don't have any vendors.  I've thought about it several times.  I see the arguments supporting and against the unused change.  My opinion is this:  If I'm paying for my accounts, if I've paid the maintenance on my vendors, if I have items up for sale on that vendor, there is no excuse to be deleting items;  NONE.

This isn't really a bug or anything, but when you turn in XP for FS XP in the village, it tells you that you "loose" your normal XP instead of "lose" it. Thats just a pet peeve of mine.

I started playing SWG right when it was released. I quit the game during the midst of the hologrind period, the game seemed to lack any kind of "soul" and grinding multiple professions not for their own sake was pure evil. After awhile I just couldn't take it anymore.

I went and played CoH.

Then I heard about publish 10! The changes sounded very exciting, so I decided to come back.

And let me tell you, I am SO glad I did. This game is definitely going in the right direction now. I am utterly amazed by how infinitely more complex and multifaceted than CoH (which I enjoyed somewhat) it is. I love the Jedi changes, I love the whole bounty hunter thing (just a great great way to encourage and reward PvP and to give drawbacks and thrill to being a jedi). I feel PvP is going in the right direction and, unlike other games, I feel like its integration within a larger PvE world is much more seemless (rather than going to some special location exclusively for PvP, you see PvP around you all the time, its great).  and I feel PvE is going in the right direction also with the increase of loot, dungeons, and quests; but more importantly, with the elimination of holo grind people actually grind what they want to. It gives their characters more soul. People who are "meant" to be combat oriented ARE, and they aren't grinding dancer or chef! When you talk about so and so, you know what profession they are, and not just what profession of the week they happen to be grinding. And with the new jedi changes, people can master their professions and yet continue to xp in a meaningful way (FS xp). So I am really impressed with the devs and the direction they are taking this game. With the Jump to Light Speed expansion coming out this game will be even more exciting.

However, as a side note,I must admit that I am annoyed by the fact that the second character slot is no longer FS/capable-of-training-jedi, for two reasons. The first of which is that characters and their concepts were often made with the tacit understanding that this character was never going to become a Jedi. I think this problem could be partially alleviated by offering players the choice to change their names, for instance, upon becoming a jedi. Someone named "Gogo" for instance, might want to change their name upon their decision to become a Dark Jedi. But what if you made a wookie as your primary character, with the intent that your second character, your jedi, would be zabrak? Now the new system more or less forces your wookie to become the Jedi. Another possible solution is to allow the character to decide whether they wanted their primary character, or the new second character, to be the force wielder upon opening their second slot.

The other problem I have with this issue of not having the second character slot the FS one is that it undermines in some ways what I just praised earlier with regard to the eilimination of hologrinding and allowing players to grind what they want. The new system forces you to have to regrind up whatever "ordinary" professions your primary characters has through your second character, because your primary character will lose these professions on their way to Jedi. Kind of frustrating to have to grind up two characters at the same time. But more importantly, all professions once again become temporary means to an end, jedi, just like they were during the hologrinding days, only less drastically perhaps.

Anyway, great work SWG, keep it up!

Sorry dude..... BULLSH!T.   PvP is Broke.  You obviously haven't been playing the game (in recent days) long enough to realise that PvP is ALL about having the money or the luck to acquire a seriously UBER DoT weapon.  If you wanna PvP, be a Pikeman/Doc (or other prof if you can find a DoT weapon good enough) otherwise, you're Fu*ked.

And to say great work to them just undermines the frustrations everyone is having with PvP in this game.  Try being a non DoT dealer, and furthermore not being a Doc, and see how well you do, then you will understand the frustration I and many others feel.

PvP is basically all about DoTs (particularly fire DoTs, and to a lesser extent, Stun damage).

A Bounty Hunter's job is to keep coming after you till you are DEAD!!!! If the other player chooses not to fufill his/her obligation, after you letting him/her live then that is his/her choice at that point.  Otherwise, expect that he/she will continue to come after you.

thats the job of an assassin actually. but whatever.

Remember the old Wanted Posters -- Dead or Alive, these were Bounty Hunters that fufilled these.

Actually, Vader only pays for DEAD Jedi, So in order to claim the bounty the Hunter must bring the Jedi in DEAD!!!.  Just because he/she couldn't finsh the fight doesn't mean he/she won't be coming back after you

Clearly, if I incapacitated him, he failed at his job.  I shouldn't have to DB him.  It's patently stupid, and it goes against the way I'd prefer to play my Jedi.  It's bad enough that the FRS requires Light-side Jedi Knights to become mindless kill-drones; I really don't think yet another incentive for Jedi to murder people is necessary.

Vader only pays for DEAD Jedi, So in order to claim the bounty the Hunter must bring the Jedi in DEAD!!!.  They want to play their way too. Leaving your enemy alive will only serves to inspire them more. Just because he/she couldn't finsh the fight doesn't mean he/she won't be coming back after you.

Extra patrols have been deleted from my history!  I didnt complete the whole second set of ten patrols before I had to log out, when i logged in the next day the partially completed second set of patorls were deleted from the histroy and the captain wont give me the option to restart the second set.  I put in a customer service ticket for this and the reponse I got was there is nothing we can do...  Nothing we can do?  Hardly seems right, can this be fixed or am I just typing to hear my fingers hit the keys???

Thanks either way,

My own result out of this patch is :
my 2nd account goes BH now that I get so many xp's out of killing a new jedi I can easy xchange them 1:1 in the village and build up my second jedi while my 1st jedi waits after 3.5hours training outside in the wilderness 3weeks that his visibility  vanished.
What I gonna do after also my second jedi can start I mean ok we talk here in about lemme check 4 month or so  than my old jedi maybe was able to get another little box even still far from any really fighter cause quenkers still can kill him but  I remember BH told me I have 85% Block skill (  still searching for that but ok may be something I missed on my little jedi). Ok after my old jedi worked 1 buff length and I am again on the terminals, I get out my new jedi  maybe I can hold my visibility down long enough to get a Novice box and after 2 buffs and enough visibility gain outside of the cities where only quenkers can see me those gave me enough visibility to think about what I can dow with my new char out of Padawan...oh lemme guess I could make him BH, go FS and while xchanging BH xp 1:1 after killing 25k jedi I could think about making my 3rd jedi so I can play every week 1 time a jedi....

I hope thats not the end and its not a solution I think. I understand BH but on the other side I search for balance. One could be:
-Make BH train equal long to jedi let them train about 2-3 month until they can start on their first jedi  kill and make there abilities that they may can fight a low lvl Padi 1vs1 and let them use weapons that have the same dmg max than a LS gen2
-end up the group Tef thing how long does it take to make a JK atm cant say with the new system but let a BH work on it at least 4 month to master before he can start hunting his 1st JK atm there is no JK not soloable by a good BH- there is no god modus stop in the end this illusion
-give BH more than jedi as target - BH is also a hidden prof in the end, a BH  thats killing in the visibility of NPC or PC's with  BH special shots or weapons should gain also a visibility and should be able to get on the boards cause as I see BH's are egoists, less population better profits? Also high rank faction members, politicians and Smugglers should have a fair chance to get on BH terms. I am jedi and BH and still wait for more variation of my BH and less pressure on my jedi. And I think I remember something like that from beta but unsure. If I drop a mission why shouldnt I get on the BH terminals after I droped 10 missions of a group like Black suns, etc (cant  write down all mission givers here on  the mission terminals )?

In the end I hope there is a way out of dilemma of the
BH  howls : Jedi are sooo tough....I need 10 ppl to rock them down ( if u need 10 ppl u may think about ur profession and ur tactic)
Jedi probs: How can I lvl up when I loose more than I can earn

I dont want any person to quit the game because he see no fun in it, I also sign that no jedi should be able to run in cities handle his LS and should feel like a half-god... I hate that too

What I would wish : a little risk for every side, and every BH that is telling me I do jedi runs for the money be careful that no rancor mission could be possible or janta or or or. I want only a balance and a base those 2 groups could shake hands in a way.

I am a BH and it's not personal its my business....

P.S: I hope I wasnt to rude to any group if so I beg ur pardon. I only dont want to say it's bad or not that's too easy
Who founds any mistakes in grammar, spelling etc can take them as a gift

Jedi should now be able to completely clear their visibility after 3 weeks if they don't do anything else to increase it during this time. Visibility is gained when drawing your lightsaber or using force powers for each NPC or non allied PC within range.

So, I need to quit playing for 3 weeks to get off the terms.  You have got to be

Surely you are not going to leave this unreasonable "feature" in the game.

I am really disappointed that entertainers/dancers have no place in the village! I thought entertainers were healers but clearly the senses tree is only for medics! This needs to be fixed entertainers HEAL people not just medics. This needs to be added into the heightened senses category right away. Of course no devs will read this so it probably will never be addressed.

Here are some answers to your questions! My apologies for the delay it has been hectic around here. If your question didn't get specifically quoted and answered that is because it was most likely asked just in a different way.

Where is phase 2, what happened to phase 2 and any other question regarding the whereabouts of phase 2.

Please refer to the Phase 2  post made by JustG

Can you please tell us what is the definition of allied PC?
Someone in the same Group, or someone in the same faction?

    thx

    2) This is going to be asked till it gets answered. What is classified as a allied PC? For now I will take it as a faction classification and thats better then nothing. I'm tired of solo hunting. Oh and whats the range? 60 m's, 120m's, 250m's...... my HUD Map doesn't display all NPCs correctly (If at all) so it would be nice to know what kind of range we are talking about here.

    3) Not sure if I like the DB for BH's but I bet you are using the same system that is used to clear a Jedi's mission off the terms. Can this be fixed in the future, I'm sure there are Light Jedi out there that do not want to DB while role playing, right?

Oh and thanks for the notes! Keep up the communications!

    1.  what will be considered non allied for neutral players, for rebels and for imperial ?

    2.  what is the range ?

    3. does this mean that using a saber and/or force powers out of range of any npc or pc will not cause visiblity at all or just not as much ?

thanks for any clarification you can give

Many of you have asked for clarification on this so we have created a knowledge base article that sums it up a bit better.

    soe12182

How does Jedi visibility work in regard to Bounty Hunter terminals?

Each of the following Jedi-relation actions has an associated Jedi Visibility Modifier:

     -Equipping a Lightsaber.

-Initiating Combat with a Lightsaber equipped.

-Using any Jedi-related skills that consume Force power.

All PCs and all non-animal NPCs that observe a Jedi performing any of the above stated actions (observed as defined as within 32 meters) will contribute to an increase in the Jedi's Visibility Value (JVV).

-An opposing faction member who views this action will add the full value of the action to the Jedi Visibility Value.

-A Neutral PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 50 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

-A same-faction PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 25 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

Being grouped with a PC or non-animal NPC who is viewing this action has no influence on how Jedi Visibility is obtained.

    Absolutely, visability decays over time.

Neutral players: Everybody will impact the same as a neutral

Imperials: Rebels will be considered non-allied

If the Jedi kills the BH he/she will continue to be hunted. If the BH kills the Jedi then he is clear. (BH's that did not complete the mission will receive "failed")

Not to mention, 3 weeks since the village went live, and the FS Ranged Speed line (and the Melee Speed line) is still completley broken (Ranged doesn't do anything to any weapon, Melee does all weapons)..
