RE'd Item Statistics by Level - Is this useful to anyone?

I started doing this out of curiosity, in order to get some baseline numbers for determining which of my  RE'd items to sell on my vendor or sell to the Chassis Dealer.  I am slowly going thru the items on my vendor that have been RE'd and compiled stats for armor, boosters and Droid Interfaces (so far).  I plan to do this on all of the loot drops as I get them in and RE them.
 
Below is just the Armor stats (Level 1 and Level 2) and Booster (Level 1).  I do not yet have enough data points for a fair assessment on other levels of these items, yet.  These baseline statistics may be useful in the "crafted vs. looted" debate.  I tried to include the raw data here, but exceeded message size limits.
 
Keep in mind, all of this data represents items that have already been RE'd by a Master SW (if that makes a difference).  I hope the format comes out OK.  If this is useful, I will make future data available (probably in spreadsheet or database form).  I won't publish any stats until I have at least 15 items (which is why Interfaces are not here yet) for a particular component and level; of course as you go higher up in levels this takes longer to achieve because of the number of components necessary.  These level 1 and 2 items may be good to compare to the "Prototype items" supplied on the newbie ships now.

looks good - it's something I've been meaning to do for myself but haven't managed to summon the enthusiasm for yet ;-)

I was remembering a graph someone produced during Beta which showed in rectangular blocks, the max/min mass and armour HP for player crafted Starship armour, and thinking that this would be a good thing to create for all components, so that when something is looted, it can be easily compared against the average and max/min values .....

THis message board leaves a lot to be desired...did not intend for this to get posted in the trashy format it came out in.
 
As promised earlier this week, I do have the statistics on items I have been RE'ing, however I cannot get the formatting to stick when I paste it in to a message here.  I have an excel file with all of the data I currently have.  Does anyone know where I could get it hosted online for folks here to download?

For what it's worth -- I've been keeping the same kinds of records for loot (not REd) components. Our numbers match up quite well -- your being a few points higher than mine in each category -- as you would expect for items that had gone through the RE process. I have been asking folks to comment on the results of the engine numbers in

and I'm wondering if we should try to do the same kind of analysis for all the shipwright crafted items. It would tie the discussion to some real numbers.

You need Excel to use/view these:

Capacitors (Covers L10, L8, L6, and L4)

Engines (Covers L10 and L6)

Shields (Covers L10 and L8)

Weapons (Covers L5-L10)

These sheets are hot-coded. Enter a value, it'll automatically compute the max/mins and automatically show you the post-RE values. Naturally, the weapons sheet is by far the most comprehensive and probably your best bet to modify.

The percentage calculations for the RE values is two cells over from the MIN/MAX table, whited out so they won't show up on a printout. All you have to do is change the values from .06 down to .01 to adjust for L1-L10 when creating a new sheet.

The data already entered is MY loot (the bolded figures are the best in the given category) - feel free to clear it out or compare it to your own. These are works in progress.

Absolutely, the more data points we can get the better.  More data means better comparisons.

I am already using the data I have generated to cull out sub par parts (Chassis Dealer shelling out some cash to me <G>.  Of course it is tough with the Droid Interfaces; I am still getting the occasional drop of level 1 or 2 items with 15.6 speeds.  I am also still getting quite a few drops of all types of components where the Certification level and RE Level do not match (level 7 items with RE Level 5 or vice versa).

This is actually extremely useful! Hopefully more data might lead to a full RE calculator where I can enter in ALL my loot of certain types, and the calculator could tell me which items to RE together, and the projected stats.
 
 
But for now, the spreadsheets help quite a bit! Thanks!

I am actually considering just such a utility.
 
Lot's of data entry would be involved on the user end.  I'm not quite sure how much calculation horsepower would be needed to run all of the simulations for the number of parts you have input.  Of course Level 1's are easy and not worth programming.
