FAQ: What are the stats for a "good" Fencer weapon?

This data will vary significantly from galaxy to galaxy depending on what resources have become available.  It will also vary somewhat from Weaponsmith to Weaponsmith, depending on what the current demand seems to be and the skills/luck of the Weaponsmith.

However, I do try to keep up with what seems to be the current "state of the art" for melee weapons, especially Fencing weaponry.  Below is the current list of my findings, and can be used as a GENERAL guideline of relative values.  Take what you see with a grain of salt for all of the above listed reasons.

Also keep in mind that some Weaponsmiths "specialize" in one category of weaponry over others, and some strive to keep more current on the trends of what various melee professions desire, while some do not.  A polite request (backed by a healthy /tip and reasonable advance notice) to a respectable Weaponsmith can get you a customized weapon which focuses on the aspects you wish to emphasize.

There are also certain "components" that could be added to the weapon during the crafting process that can further "alter" (not always enhance) the end results.

All of the following listed weapon stats are in the "natural" state (No power-ups, no slices).

Curved Sword
Damage: 74 - 170;  Speed: 2.2;  HAM: (22/45/30);  AP0;  Damage Type: Kinetic

Gaderiffi Baton
Damage: 132 - 223;  Speed: 3.4 HAM: (54/32/15);  AP0;  Damage Type: Kinetic

Ryyk Blade
Damage: 75 - 173;  Speed: 2.4;  HAM: (45/35/30);  AP0;  Damage Type: Kinetic

Vibroblade
Damage: 46 - 150;  Speed: 2.6 HAM: (11/22/11);  AP1;  Damage Type: Kinetic

Stun Baton
Damage: 90 - 133;  Speed: 2.5;  HAM: (15/44/37);  AP0;  Damage Type: Stun

Currently the Rantok (a quest item) is not craftable, so it was not included.  I also did not include the stats for weapons such as the Survival Knife, Stone Dagger, Sword, or other such weapons that are either not viable much beyond Novice Brawler or are inferior to other weapons available at the same certification level.

I invite anyone that would like to add/update a weapon to this list to do so... but please make sure the weapon was crafted (not looted) and that the stats you list are "natural." (WITHOUT power-ups and BEFORE slices)

This could use some updating since Combat Upgrade. And probably some of the other FAQs, too.

Hi, please do not reply to the threads created by Raphayl that are very out of date, yes I know they are out of date, I have her guide stickied out of respect for our fallen Correspondent.

Please check my Guide to Fener that is stickied for more CU updated information, I need to update it a little bit also.

I see. Is it possible to lock those threads, or perhaps add an edit in the main post somewhere explaining the purpose of leaving it up in a stickied post? I understand the sentiment, but new players seeing that at the top of the list may not realize what they're looking at.
