The following is a list of the location badges that are currently in live play. Most of these locations appear in the POI tab in your datapad. Some of the places listed in the datapad give Location badges, some do not - this is a list of all the ones that do give badges.

The majority of the badges are not directly at the waypoint listed in the POI tab. If the waypoint on this list is different than the POI tab description, it is the actual location of the badge. Some of them require you to enter a cave/dungeon to receive, but these do not require any combat to get - the MOBS didn't agro, at least on so far.

Special thanks to TarielReforma (Bocev) and Joshie for the Dathomir and Yavin IV locations, as well as a few other additions - I was having TC problems and wasn't able to confirm all of the last two planets myself and they were a great help. Joshie also seems to have found the first non-listed location badge, the Downed Ship on Dathomir - congratulations!

NOTES :

1. You also receive "explorer" badges based on how many location badges you earn. You get them for 10, 20, 30, 40, and 45 (Master Explorer). This brings the total number of badges available for location visits to 50 badges.

2. The Aqualish Cave on Talus is FIXED. You can now get all 45 location badges, and the five explorer badges normally!

3. I have updated many of the waypoints above - although the majority of them are easy to find, there are a few (Krayt Graveyard, Jedi Temple) that were tricky and people consistently asked about.

Not all are in the POI list. Read the Dathomir list. Audio, the POI Rebel Hideout is both a POI and a Themepark Badge.

Yes, that's partially why they are spoilers (because at least one already is not listed), but also because not all locations give one and some people want to be surprised - I just didn't want to get yelled at for not warning people, LOL.

Thanks for the confirm on the Rebel Hideout, I'll fix that in the next "version" - when people start reporting more non-POI location badges.  And thanks again for all your help - I *still* cannot get a healthy TC character to Dathomir and retain my vehicle...It hasn't happened on any other planet before or since - Dath just doesn't like my vehicles, LOL.

Aw, shucks.  Thanks .

The list started out just for me - I accidentally found the Theed waterfall badge and was so excited I immediately went about searching for the rest.  I got 8 planets done myself, and it was quite an experience.

Rest assured that as soon as I craft my vehicle on patch day, I'll be out getting them all again.

Hope you enjoy getting them - it really is fun.  Just don't grind through the list (like I did at times) and take the time to enjoy the view - I will be the second time around.

I really liked the Agrilat Swamp and spent an hour jetting around their on my Speeder Bike, just beautiful.

3. There are two Ewok Lake Villages and two Ewok Tree Villages.  Both of the Lake Villages and both of the Tree Villages are identical, just in different spots.  I listed the waypoint for which I got the badges, but I have a feeling that you will get it for which ever Tree or Lake village you visit first.  I went to all four, but only one of each gave me a badge. 

Also, as I said above, I'm really thinking there should be a badge at the Great Maze of Lok - has anyone else gone?  It's a simple maze (especially in overhead, LOL) - but I figured the center had a location badge, and it did not.  There is an NPC in the center, but I don't believe she spoke.

Wow....  I really don't like the idea of adding exploration badges.... and you can find the waypoints... zing by them on the speeder bike and immediately get a badge.

But alas... if instead of a t-shirt from the vacation, you get a badge... and the devs like the idea... bah.

Loading a characters page when you examine them is just plainly gonna hurt your eyes.

You can choose not to get them.

This will be fun for many people, and in a game where people talk a lot about accomplishments being few and far between this is a great step in that direction.

Badges weren't meant to be the rarity they are today.  Holo said once that in order to consider yourself "successful" in SWG, you should have "well over 100 badges" - which is impossible until now.

Consider these the noob-badges, that every noob has in the first few weeks, or gives them a reason to save up to visit planets such as Yavin IV.

I really don't understand people that are opposed to more fun in the game - if you don't enjoy it, you don't have to participate.  Those of us that do, will.

Hey guys -

It seems there are two more badges that no one has been able to get yet, but that do seem to exist -

Aqualish Cave on Talus, and

Greater Misty Falls on Dathomir.

No one has yet confirmed recieving them in-game, but it seems that they do exist.  I'll be heading to Talus right away to check out the Aqualish Cave, and try for an eighth time to get to Dathomir, vehicle in tact.   If anyone is already on Dath and can check it out, I'd appriciate it.
