Yes, you have my support, crate of 100 units will be useful for us. Specially crate of ore mining unit that not exist now, increase small structure storage to 100 units will be great.
I think this will be useful for more than just the arches out there
Agreed. I just spammed it to the Armorsmith and Weaponsmith forums.
If any of you know someone that feels strongly about this issue then let them know about the 3 threads in the Core systems forum.

thats a change i long time wish for, hope it will happen, its rediculous anyways that crates and vary from 5 (DE) to 100 (Armor layers)
thats definately unfair and not good imo.
no matter what crates they all should have same max amount. safes storage space and brings fairness at all.
little example for the obvious unfairness:
an armorsmith makes 40 composit segments with max layer amount, he will need 120 layers which are in crates up to 100 pieces so he exactly needs only 2 crates of layers for that.
now let an architect makes someething which would needs 120 crate items from a master artisan aka GPModules for a prodcution, then he needs 5 crates already cause they are in 25 piece crates.
another thing is like if i make a harvester deeds in factory they are NOT even in a crate and come out all single lol
after resently setting up a sortage house the 500k stacks would seam less usefull. a small house holds 150 items, 15 million units is a ton of stuff. increasing crates on the other hand to 100 or better yet 500 would be great. i have hundreds if not closers to a thousand crates of crap at any given time. Increasing parts crates to 500, like synthcloths, and electronic memory modules, or energy rays, or weapon smith stuff like power handlers, and warheads and the many other items a good ws needs to make his wears. These take up tons of space one house wont cut it, its many factories, inputs and out puts filled to the make our stuff We have whole houses filled with nothing but crates. Crates and crates of parts.. this needs to be reduced. If you think as an archect you have crate problems, try being a DE, Please increase crate size to 500 on parts. finished products are fine in the crate size the way they are.
Another reason that stacking is a great idea is for crafters who have to move things from their inventory into a factory or vice versa and end up screaming in frustration when the darn things just show the radial menu - which is a known "feature" forever now. I sometimes spend an hour trying to put components into a factory, mostly because I keep having to click the piece over and over again until I get the freaking hand and drop it into the factory.
Drives me batty. And having to do this with OMUs is enough to make me look elsewhere for my gaming enjoyment you know?
I believe I just read in Thunderhearts 19 questions, that there will be NO change to the resource stack size. So though I agree with the goal in this thread, I guess our efforts have been in vain.

Never in vain Now it is even more important to speak....

What we need to do now is tell them that 'no' is not an answer we are going to accept.
They probably have some reason they don't want to do it. I'm going to assume it is some BS about "power gamers" or something. I think this is one of those situations where they don't want to solve one problem cause they think it will cause another one. We just have to make sure they know the current problem is bigger and outweighs whatever their other concern is.
One way or another we NEED an improvement to the storage situation. Right now its just a big inconvenient pain for way too many people.
So PLEASE, respond to the threads AGAIN and voice your further support on this. If it doesn't go away then SOE can't ignore it.
The only way they can ignore it is if we start flaming them. Then they get their "get out of jail free" card of saying they won't talk to us if we dont' keep it civil. So please keep the discussion civil.

The only way we can keep the issue from dying is to not let the issue die.
Up until now all our noise got nothing. They finally said "no". Now we need to make yet more noise so they reconsider that "no".

It would actually, but the economy would suffer. Don't think of it in terms of how many items you can make as a player, but rather, how many items all players can make. With only a few thousand players per server, any player can manufacture enough several thousand items, thus making enough items for eveyone on a server. This creates a situation where the players who are part of the most efficient crafting PA's can saturate a market all by themselves and completely squeeze out most other crafters. If you couple this with that same crafter's ability to get the best possible resources at any given time, it is very easy for a a clever crafter to get the best materials and saturate the market with the best items and make it too difficult for anyone else to try and sell their goods.

Why does it really matter. I added a vendor in the back of my shop and store all my minerals and some crates of components on it at a price of 99,999,999. If anyone finds my vendor and is willing to spend 99mil on a 100k lot of ore they can have it. Hehe.......Irer
