Ok .... This Does not Mean that any progress is happening on my push for us to be able to craft GCW faction items..
But I want to know this..
Please answer Yes or No.. and limit feedback on this ( at this time..please)
Say crafting these were implemented in this fashion..
If we were allowed to craft faction Items.. but you would have to 1) Be alligned to that faction and 2) while crafting this particular item You would get a TEF... (thus attackable)
1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items?
2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ?
3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP?
Ok please answer 1 2 and 3 with a simple yes or no.. If you want to say more..please keep it to one or two sentences and do it after your answer to 1 2 and 3..
again .. this is 100% me looking for this information I dont want to make anyone think I was asked to do this from the devs..
thanks..

Say crafting these were implemented in this fashion..
If we were allowed to craft faction Items.. but you would have to 1) Be alligned to that faction and 2) while crafting this particular item You would get a TEF... (thus attackable) Please no TEF while crafting that would make *US* get kick out of our homes...and that would just be retarded to wait 5 minutes just to get back in your house is just plain stupid. I do agree w/ your "Be aligned" comment.
1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items? Yes I would love to craft GCW Items.
2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ? Yes, but I don't like the idea of a TEF while crafting. Maybe make the items "Tradable" only (No vendors stock) and when you trade the item THEN you get a TEF.
3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP? No, because you can craft anywhere....there aren't enough Overts running around for me to feel "in danger"...If I am attacked then I know how Medics feel when they heal people in a public med center and get jumped from behind.

Oh .. the being inside a building and getting TEF then getting booted is being addressed.. that isnt suppose to happen.. It is suppose to be a system to prevent you from entering a building IF you are already tefed..
so the Tef Here WOULD NOT BOOT YOU..... so wanted to clarify that..

Hello My Name Is Dvnce..... And I am addicted to Redundant Punctuation.....
I answer yes to #1 in the sense that I'd accept this if I had to and if its the only way I could get GCW stuff.
But it doesn't seem rational to me that crafting something in my shop in private would put a neon sign above my head that says "rebel scum, apply blaster bolts here". It seems like it would just end up a way to grief crafters.
I don't like PvP and don't want to be forced into it.
I would supporting having risk that stormtroopers could scan me and spot the illicit weapons or implements of war on my person and then have that cause a TEF. That makes sense and seems like a rational amount of risk.

the whole idea of the tef.. is .. If I am an imp.. and a rebel group comes upon me producing imp weapons that can only be used by imps and only used while overt.. would not the rebels do something to disrupt the production of these weapons?
I agree that I dont want to be open to 100% of the time to rebels having free for all attackability on me.. but then again if i knew there were going to be rebels in the area I probably wont craft that item .. that is the level of risk and awareness I am talking about..
My motivation personally of wanting to craft GCW items .. is I want a more active role in the war.. I would love to be at the sight of a base placement rushing to get the base up and fortified.. knowing there is a chance that rebels could stop or at least delay this base placement.. thus makeing it a need for soldiers to be there to defend me.. .. If it is just merely of wanting to craft this to have more things to craft then I would push for new items solely all together.. that had nothing to do with the gcw and roll a fighter alt..

BTW the TEF knocks one out of their house, so access to resources and crafting stations may need to be considered on this. Also what does getting TEF add to the experience? I get TEFed a lot trading with overts and haven't cloned in months.

But how do you know that they are producing the weapons?
THe same logic could be used to make Weaponsmiths TEF'ed round the clock cause the other faction buys their guns.

How can you be forced if you are 'Wanting' to get involved with the GCW by building these things. The users of these items will surly be TEF, why shouldn't the crafters have to suffer the same fate if they're caught.

Well what would happen with the new TEF system? As it stands when I go into a PC cantina etc. and attack an overt guy getting buffed in there I get nocked out and red-walled from entering again. That means any private crafting in house would have no negative to it. If you don't get kicked out for getting a TEF while inside the house now then that would open up the possibility of known high-end imp/reb smiths from getting griefed in their own house unless ban lists are allowed to be huge.
Just something that sorta muddles up the power of the TEF as a deterrent.
1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items?
Yes, I would accept this, reluctantly of course, as my Architect is neutral for a good reason, he is NOT a combatant, he is an Architect.
2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ?
No, there is enough risk with critical failures, and the fact that a TEF would also kick me out of my house for 5 minutes is not acceptable either. Take me away from my crafting station, you take me away from my job/duties. And before you ask, I'm not pulling my droid out to do the job either, that's not the reason for having him.
3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP?
Yes, a forced TEF for building a faction perk is not something that should be forced on any crafter. A Weaponsmith doesn't get a TEF for building a weapon that a Reb or Imp is about to use, so, why should we?
But I really do not see why I cannot remain neutral. As a neutral I have voted to 'opt out' of chosing sides, and like a good mercenary will sell my wares to whoever is paying my price, whatever their faction. Is there to be no room for Neutrals in this war or must we be forced to choose sides if we want to compete.
If you get a TEF when crafting these items you should get FP a reward for the risk.......
As for being forced in to Pvp, we would have to see that the TEF Ejection issue was really fixed and we should also require as was suggested above that the Crafter be Overt before the item is made even perhaps require that the crafter be overt for 5 minutes or so before he (or she) can craft a GCW Item.

1) Yes for 1. no for 2. 2) Yes for 1. no for 2. 3) No.
TEF while crafting doesn't make sence, I'll just make my home private while I build them, and if I'm booted out of it because of TEF, I'll just go near an imp HQ and use my droid.
But no vendor allowed and TEF when trading them sounds much better, and make more sence.

I am already aligned, so ok by me.
2) while crafting this particular item You would get a TEF... (thus attackable)
I would say NO, since wpnmsths or armorsmiths dont. I'll go with the "GCW Items can only be Tradeable to an overt and THEN you get a TEF, or be overt to trade.
1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items?
Yes, with the above variation.
2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ?
Yes, with the variation stated above.
3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP?
NO, I am already aligned covert, so I have chosen PVP.

GCW is a choice. Faction is a choice. People that do not want to be a part of the GCW can stay neutral or resign their faction. Fivo has absolutely NO fighting skills whatsoever and I would applaud making him TEF'd and attackable for faction activities. I have gone into faction stronghold areas and been killed supporting other players. I'd do it anytime to support my faction and guild.

Sorry, I honestly feel there is no room for neutrals in a GCW. Wars, in game, require committments and taking sides. Sides get advantages (except in this genre it appears LOL) and disadvantages. The fun is playing out the tactics successfully.
