Thread: How can we make SWG client remember our login info?

    How can we make SWG client remember our login info?

    I remember being able to edit a config file years ago that allowed us to at least have the SWG client remember our username. I've used two search engines plus multiple different searches on this forum, and can't for the life of me find the thread/post that detailed which config file to edit so that SWG could remember our login information.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    You need to add loginClientID= under [ClientGame].

    Example:

    Code:
    [ClientGame]
            loginClientID=Timbab
    Password doesn't work out of the box sadly, most likely due to having to store your password in plaintext, so they decided against it for security reasons.

    Unfortunately, it's not working. Every time you start SWGEmu, it has to write (nothing) to swg_login.cfg, erasing the loginClientID line. If I write-protect the config file, it does work, however the Emulator pops up another window complaining that it can't write to the file.

    I tried adding it to my created user.cfg, but no luck either. Guess I'll just have to live with typing everything in all the time.

    Try adding it to options.cfg. I don't use the launcher, I suppose it checks the integrity of the .cfg files.

    Works just fine if you don't use the launchpad
