Additional guidelines:

  • Respect each other. It's okay to argue, but try to settle flame wars in private messages.
  • Respect the SWGEmu staff's authority.
  • Please use only English to communicate. It is okay to use other languages in private messages and forums groups.
  • Do not report same post repeatedly
  • Refrain from posting about server status, it is frowned up on. For (somewhat) correct server info use our front page gadget www.swgemu.com, or our IRC #status channel.
  • Please try to post in appropriate sections
  • Do not promote or advertise other SWGEmu or non-SWGEmu based servers on our forums in any other section then one designed for that very purpose. If you do decide to do that, follow the guidelines posted in the sticky thread in that section. Any posts that are outside that section or are not in accordance with our guidelines will be deleted. Keep in mind that re-posting of deleted content is already regulated by our website and forum guideline 2.2
  • In situations where the interpretation, implementation, or specific application of a rule is called into question, it will default to the staff to provide guidance and ruling on such circumstance. Forum/game users may file an appeal to said ruling at the listed locations above in the "Voicing your concerns" section. All submissions will be reviewed by senior staff.
  • When posting large pictures use a spoiler BBcode
  • We reserve the right at all times (but will not have an obligation) to remove or refuse to distribute any Content on the Services and to terminate users or reclaim usernames.
  • Forums signature recommended size 500x250, even though we will allow signature to be wider than 500p please refrain from making them taller than 250p.
  • These rules are subject to change at anytime.

To server Admins:

  • If you wish, you may create a thread in the new SWGEmu Based Server Listing section with any information you'd like to share with this community about your server.
  • If your server offers 'donation rewards' aka pay-to-play, please refrain from posting on our forums. Due to our original agreement with SOE and LA, SWGEmu is free-to-play and always will be. We cannot and shall not be associated with anyone that isn't free-to-play, because we don't want to jeopardize the decade or more we've invested in this project.
  • Any attempt of incentivizing registration, positive reviews or just bumping the Server listing post to the top of the page, with RL or in game items/currency, will result in instant removal of the server listing.
  • If links to your website/server are broken, please fix them as soon as possible or we will assume that your community no longer exists and we will delete your thread.
  • Servers that fail to act in accordance with our rules, or in accordance with the CLA (Contributor License Agreement) they signed, will be removed.

To both Server admins and everyone else:
  • Do not discuss, advertise, or link servers (other than Basilisk or TC: Nova) or their respective forums on our social media pages or groups, or SWGEmu forums outside of SWGEmu Based Server Section. Such posts will be deleted and persons that posted them removed.
  • If a server isn't listed or is for any reason removed from SWGEmu Based Server Listing section please refrain from posting about it anywhere on our forums, that includes SWGEmu Based Server section too.
