    • June 11th wipe on June 11th
    Stress testing on Basilisk is coming to an end, and we are rite on the schedule. The Basilisk server will be wiped on June 11th for the start of our play-test Alpha server. Server will be taken offline around 9AM EST (check your local time here) and replaced with the latest stable code. Because quite a few things need to be tested before Basilisk is open public again, whole process will take several hours.

    • Current Basilisk bugs and broken or missing professions
    A lot of reported bugs are already fixed on Nova, and those fixes will transfer to Basilisk after the wipe. Professions such as Creature Handler, Droid Engineer, Bio Engineer, Commando, DOT weapons, creatures not dropping aggro, GCW will remain unavailable/broken for the time being, they will be added at the later date.

    • Bazaar revamp
    PLEASE NOTE: Bazaar terminals and vendors are undergoing a revamp, and will be disabled for up to a week.You can still use manual trades or Basilisk Trade forums.

    • Jedi on Basilisk

    Players wont be able to unlock Jedi before Village system too is added, tested on TC: Nova and deemed ready.

    • Basilisk bugs and bug reports
    Testing is still being done on TC NOVA, Basilisk will become a play server. If you encounter a bug on Basilisk, please try to reproduce it on NOVA. TC NOVA will often be fixed before Basilisk, and there may not be a need to create redundant bug reports. As an alternative you can contact Aceblade or Wuzze on IRC or by email aceblade@swgemu.com or wuzze@swgemu.com

    • Basilisk fixes and updates
    All new updates will be tested on Nova first and after they are deemed stable they will be pushed on Basilisk, every weekend or Monday.

    Password reset and change guide

    With the recent security patch, a required password change is in effect for everyone. Some people received emails with reset passwords, some did not. Here is a quick troubleshooting guide to reset passwords.
    1. First, check your email.
    • Ensure the email you are checking is actually the email tied to the forum account. Sounds silly, but its best to be sure.
    • Check both the inbox and spam folder. Since the emails were mass sent, large email servers (msn, gmail, yahoo etc) may have had a delivery delay, and the sender would sometimes read Daemon instead of SWGEmu forums.
    • If you have an email, use the provided password to log into the forums. The website should prompt you to change your password to something of your choosing.
    • If the website does not do this, make sure to do this now using SWGEmu - pass change.
    2. If you have NOT received an email.
    • Use the "Forgotten your password? Click here!" link in the login menu. Regardless of what the website says after you click the link, this should send you an email asking if you would like to reset your password.
    • Click the confirmation link in the email. This will send you back to our website with a link to click (this is a failsafe, and is the actual point where the password is reset), another email will be sent, this one will contain your temporary password.
    • Use the temp password to log into forums, and change the password to something of your choosing. Only after this step would you be able to log into the game itself.
    3. If these steps fail, then log into irc, and in a clear concise manner, go over the steps in #swgemusupport. If problems persist, and support cannot walk you through the problem, then, and only then, should you send an email to support@swgemu.com


    Since this has affected everyone, email volume has been exceedingly high. We are doing are best to help everyone as timely as possible. Thank You.
