Another login server address and/or IP change

    April 2013

Another login server address and/or change

Our login server address has changed to login.swgemu.com with port 44453. To continue to log into our game servers please update your LPE or game settings. This will only be necessary until the DNS propagates, probably less than 24 hours.

Here is how you do it:

    1. Go in to your SWGEmu folder (C:\SWGEmu is the default location) locating swgemu_login.cfg file, opening it with notepad and changing the loginServerAddress0=nova.swgemu.com to loginServerAddress0= login.swgemu.com

NOTE: Once you do that dont run LPE, us the SWGEmu.exe from SWGEmu folder to run the game. If you run LPE it will update the swgemu_login.cfg and delete all the changes you have made.

    2. When you run LPE press the Servers button at the bottom and the add. Name a server Basilisk (or something) and add other details like in this picture:

Once you do that select Basilisk from the slider (server selection) on top and press PLAY.

NOTE: If you chose this method you will need to do it only once, then just select Basilisk on LPE if it by any chance changes back to Official.

We apologize for this inconvenience and we thank you for you continuous support.

    Basilisk Maintenance

    Basilisk maintenance 3/4/13

Over the last few months our database has grown drastically and will soon surpass our server capabilities. It is because of that that certain changes in our database and compression had to be made. Last week they were tested on TC: Nova and now it is time to apply the same changes to Basilisk. This should help save us a lot of space on SSD's, which means we won't be forced to add two additional ones and thus increase our already high monthly expenses.

On Monday March 4th, Basilisk will be taken offline for maintenance. Expected downtime will be approximately the same as the one we had last week, more than 24 hours.

Basilisk will be taken offline for maintenance in 15 minutes (6:35AM EST).

    EDIT 1: 8% (11:30AM EST)
    EDIT 2: 40% (3:50PM EST)

    EDIT 3: 55% (7:00PM EST)
    EDIT 4: 65% (9:10PM EST)
    EDIT 5: 100% (6:20AM EST)
EDIT 6: Basilisk has been ONLINE over 3 hours. All is good in the world... (10:45AM EST)

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your continuous support.

    Basilisk maintenance 2/24/13

At 9:30 AM EST (check your local time here), in about 30 minutes, Basilisk will be taken offline for maintenance.

EDIT: This could take a bit longer than originally planned. (Ill try to keep you posted)

EDIT 2: OK, update on the DB reload... Yes its not a backup its a reload, (<~TheAnswer> just dump | load) to get some free space on the drive. Anyway, we are at 95GB out of 340GB so this will last way longer than 12 hours, probably closer to 24 hours.

EDIT 3: we are at 180GB out of 340GB

EDIT 4: Rough guesstimate... 50GB left

    EDIT 5:

Good news: Server should be booting any tiime now.

Bad news: To save SSD space, in-game emails will be wiped.

    We apologize for this inconvenience.

    Global Registration update

Global registration update and fix - 01/29/13

For months now our Global registration has been experiencing issues which caused a lot of our community members to get an "Incorrect Password" system message when they try to log in game. TheAnswer was kind enough to look in to it. He was able to fix a bug in the password algorithm and most of the other glitches we had in our system. Still there are some 1156 accounts that have a bugged password, those could not be fixed so community members that still get the "Incorrect password" system message in game will have to fix it for themselves.

Here is how you fix the "Incorrect Password" system message:

    1. Close all game clients
    2. Log on our forums
    3. Change your password using "pass change"; You can change it to what ever you want , but please try not to use symbols
    4. Try to log in game

    • If it doesn't work, try it one or two more times
    • If you are still unable to fix your password come to our Live support.

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your support.

    LPE issues

    LPE issues 1/13/13

It seems that our Lunchpad Enhanced host is having some issues and because of that LPE is slow to download interface; takes some 10 minutes just to load and once it does you will not be able to select a server or launch your clients using it. Until this is resolved, refrain from using LPE all together, instead:
    1. Go to your SWGEmu folder (C:\SWGEmu default location)
    2. Locate swgemu.exe (swgemu_r) and use it to launch the client

If you cant find swgemu.exe, download http://www.swgemu.com/swgemu/downloads/TroubleShoot-ConfigFiles.rar; extract only swgemu.exe to your SWGEmu folder and use it to run the client.

    We apologize for this inconvenience.
