What is SWGEmu Quality Assurance:
The Quality Assurance department (QA) is a part of the SWGEmu team. QA directly supports the developers by testing and researching. The prime directives of the projects QA team is to:
- Test, analyse, and report bugs from the community and staff
- Test, analyse, and report on newly committed code from development
- Research Pre-CU data and information
- Communicate with the projects developers as needed in relation to testing
- To support the QA supervisors and team leaders as required
What is the SWGEmu CT Program:
The role of this section is to work directly with QA using the directives mentioned above. The CT Program was designed to assist in determining new talent, and will allow members of our fantastic testing community the opportunityto test alongside QA Staff and possibly become official staff members. After an evaluation period in the position, the applicant may become eligible to be chosen for a promotion into the Quality Assurance Department.
CT Responsibilities:
- Preparing documentation and reports through a variety of systems including: forums, Mantis, and Google Apps
- Communicate with QA and development staff via IRC, forums, and email
- Minimum of twice a week, work on Mantis bug reports for testing and research
- Work with the Quality Assurance Staff to discover, report, and test bugs on the Nova Server
- Decent knowledge and experience of Pre CU SWG which launched June of 2003
- Good English written communication skills
- A minimum of 14 hours per week to devote to this position
- Active in the SWGEmu community with knowledge of features implemented and not yet implemented
