  • Switching Clothes/Armor Macro

    i found this to be a useful and fun macro for quickly switching from your cool clothes to combat armor...simply go to a toolbar that you dont use currently, i used toolbar 6, adn drag all og your pieces of clothing and armor up to it fromm your inventory. then create a new macro. i put all of my clothes on one side, and my armor on the other for simplicity. remembering that the computer counts from zero for the panes and slots, the macros should go something like this:

    /ui action toolbarPane05
    /ui action toolbarSlot00
    /ui action toolbarSlot01

    remember that the top bar goes from 00-11, and the second bar goes from 12-23.

    and so on, until you have listed all of your clothes. you then create another macro for your armor. remember when making these, that if you are going to switch directly from clothes to armor and back, that there are some things that wont be removed by the macros. for example, if you dont wear a hat or hood, but wear a helmet during combat, then you will have to write a line into your clothing macro to remove your helmet. same goes with belts. these are useful tools to help you if you get aggro'd, and need to change real quick. you can also insert text in the beginning of the macro, so that every time you change, you say something crazy like "armor up!" or something equally silly. enjoy!

      Is this post accurate with the new weapon and armor change patch? You know, the one that shows in your actions when fighting? Or do you have to add a pause in between each toolbarSlot?

      the easiest way to Move Funiture about when setting up your house would be to make 1 line macros,

      People if you are having trouble using this remember punctuation is very important you must type /ui action toolbarSlotXX YOU MUST CAPITALIZE THE S or the P in the instance of using Pane

      If you have more than 5 commands, you need to add in a /pause 1; or /pause .5; or whatever.  A pause every so often fixes this so it is usable again. You May be able to have more commands between pauses but I didn't have time to experiment.

        I also cannot get this to run. I have found that I cannot get the command: "/ui action toolbarPane05/ui action toolbarPane05" to work at all.... Any ideas?

          You need a semicolon between the commands. i.e.

      I'm trying to equip/unequip a pack.  I can't do it by placing it in a Slot because the default action is to open, not equip. Is there a macro command, like /equip or something to do that? And if so, how do I address my pack, i.e. how do I tell it to equip my pack, not my gun or clothes or chance cube, or whatever.
      I realize I don't *need* to equip my pack, I can just carry it in inventory, but it's all about the looks...

      Okay ...  will just have to add a few lines to the macro for exo-protien wafers and nuetron pixie to get all the composite armor on and off. And maybe a delay for the food and drink and drugs to work so I can get all of it on.

      Or maybe I'll just never take it off .. ever 1 :P

      If you put in a
      /startdance (dance);
      /smokebomb;
      /stopdance;
      /pause 2;
      (and then the rest of your code)

      you get a sweet transition effect for your dance attire.

      I created one too....but I have two of them.  If you use this...you do NOT have the problem above of leaving your helm on...because you do not have a hat....cheers. This selects your clothes off....so you are in your undies...then selects your armor.

      Get in Armor....
      /ui action toolbarPane05
      /ui action toolbarSlot12(where my clothes are)
      /ui action toolbarSlot13 (where my clothes are)
      /ui action....(where my clothes are)
      /ui action toolbarSlot00(where my armor is)

      Been using it already myself as an adaptation of the chapter 1A in http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=139

      Couple of notes to add...

      1. You only need one macro to do the lot, not two. Helms will be removed because it acts like a toggle switch for anything that is not automatically swapped for another item in the same wearable location.

      2. Don't forget to add a line at the end to switch back to your favourite toolbar pane e.g. /ui action toolbarPane00

      3. Runing into a bunch of red aggro mobs without armour on because of lag etc. isn't as painful any more with this quick change function :)
