    -------------------------------------Get Rich Quick!-------------------------------------

For starters, this is a get rich sceme that does work and will take a week to reap the benefits, but please try it - I have done it on starsider server and it actually works.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ingredients of the scheme:

5x Fusion power generators (make it yourelf or buy one from your local architect)

60% or better spot of a class 6 or 7 radioactive

    A *few* starting credits

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Method:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you will probably already know, power generators of any type do not need to be constantly feed power themselves, only credits.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Place your harvs on the best area of power you can find and pump each one with 10k credits. Remember that this will power each one for a good week of harvesting.

    Wait 24 hours.

Take out the approximate 10k power from each harv and sell it all for 1 cpu, not depending on quality.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Repeat above for the first week and you will be apprximatly 270k richer for the experiance. Repeat the method every week, at the second week increasing the price to 1.5 or 2 cpu. The first week will have paid for itself many times obver so use the money from this to fuel your next weeks expenditure and so onb and so forth.

After a month of using this method with five ber 12's (which are not the best) 1060k will be in your bank. Major note: this price is with maitenence included! Im sure that all these figures are correct, but im not using a calculator so i may be wrong. Post your comments please!

i am about 13 days old right now and making over 1 mil a ay (thats usually when i get bored) i simply go to dantooine (there is macro-buffers for all 9 buffs here!), mining outpost, and get into a solo group, from that point on i accept 2 27k missions at a time and do this for a night, this can be easially done with moderate skills (lets say halfway done in a tree) and with composite armor (i got it for free from a friend when i started, however i dont think itll be "that" much of a challange to get.

as far as ive seen this would be the relatively fastest way to make money, imo anyway.

I was fortunate enough to have this guy (Oethyc'oo Elagav) sort of take me under his wing when I first started playing SWG. I was like his padawan learner sorta speak.  This guy use to give me weapons, credits, and always invited me to go hunting with him. He also introduced me to doctor buffs and how to make a good amount of credits in just a day of playing. He's from Alaska and I'm from NYC. I since hate doing certain things in this game unless he's with me. We make credits together. One of the best ways I have made money is to find a vendor to hunt for. These vendor usually will know what creatures are spawing good hides and meats. I get orders sometimes for hides that vendors will pay upto 60 cpu. Great money for even 2-3k worth of hide. If not go get buffs, join a solo group and do 27k missions or more. Great for grinding XP and making money. Every chance I come upon a newb that has tons of questions I will do my best to help them whether it is with credits, weapons or just knowledge and tips. Too bad everyone else that plays this game isn't like that.

My point of view is that this game is really great when u meet ppl, share ideas and knowledge. Each time I meet a new player, I help him with advices, I explain him all he needs and wants to know, how to hunt, how to craft ... and the most important, I tip credits. And why not give free ressources to help him grinding. As Master Swordsman (or other elite profession), everybody know that u can earn like half a million in 3 hours. At this point money is no more a problem for u, so TIP new players! Buy them a house, an armor, weapons, swoop, ... Try to allways keep in mind your first steps, and I m sure u will remember someone who help u, and how it was great to meet a kind person who help u, and spent time with u. So, my conclusion; meet some kind ppl, join a City and a Guilde, and the most important HAVE FUN!!!!!

Ok, lets assume you are stinking poor, which is usually the case for anyone who actually needs guides like this. What do you do? JOIN A LARGE HUNTING GROUP. You can make 50 K in a matter of hours because even if you suck, others can take the critters down anyway, and you get the same cut of the money as they do! Some say that only the guys who do the most damage get credits but I dunno where they got that idea, I used to hunt sharnafs on Corellia with a crappy CDEF rifle in groups of 15+ and I still got paid every time.

When you actually have some money, 10-20 K, you can start doing what I always do in every online game to make serious money: trade. Figure out what people want, what they are willing to pay for it at the bazaar, and where you can get it cheaper. It's a pretty basic scenario to find a vendor who sells item X for 2000 credits, which turns out to be a high-demand item at the bazaar and sells for 4000-6000 credits. You just move the items back and forth a little bit and soon you are a really rich man. I just can't figure out why most people don't seem to understand it, it is so basic and works in EVERY online game. I've had people who have played for years beg me for money after I have played for just one week in some other games because I have more money.

After you have 50+ K, you probably already know how to make loads of money anyway, depending on your profession. The guide shown here has to do with the crafting profession in particular, and I'm sure it is pretty obvious once you have so much money that you can put it to use, but the other professions need other ways to make money. For example, dancers know that they get better tips by wearing revealing clothes, having female characters with large breasts, and inserting the sort of comments like "please don't forget to support your entertainer!" in their dance macros. Sounds pretty obvious doesn't it? But it's just as obvious for other professions as well. You don't need a guide for it, this game really isn't all that complex folks!

Yeah, getting your hands on 5 Fusions isn't an easy thing, especially for the financially challenged. On that note, I will say that making money isn't all that hard. When I began this game, I knew the biggest obstacle would be $$$, so instead of initially focusing on kicking butt (which i was tempted to do), I dove straight into crafting...because at first, I thought this is where the money was at...I was wrong.

As I grinded out a few Crafting professions (artisan, architect, weaponsmith, armorsmith,) I learned a valuable lesson: everyone that's 'grinding' needs crap resources. ANY kind of crap resources...you just need to know which crap resources to get. Steel, Aluminum, and Copper are good starting basic ones. Use a few of your skill points and pick up Novice Artisan. Just so you can survey to find those basic ones i mentioned...I made a lot of money with personal harvesters...and those are cheap on the bazaar...but get the BER 4 ones, to start.

Don't misunderstand me, this isn't the easiest way to gain a lot of money, and it is time consuming. But it DOES pay off, trust me. Save as much as you can...then buy bigger harvesters. I know a resource monger on Starsider (i use the term resource monger for him, since he does the resources on the side...very effectively, I might add), who uses 3-4 heavy BER 13 minerals, and 1 fusion to run them all.

If you want the easy way to make money just killin stuff, then that's easy too: use the SWG Craft website. track avian meat on the different worlds...when good DR and OQ avian meat pops up anywhere...GO COLLECT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Get 10-20k of good avian meat...then find a doctor to sell it to. If you don't know this, doctors NEED good quality avian meat to make good buffs. Again on starsider, I saw an uber batch of avain meat pop up, that was selling for 50-100cpu!

So, bottom line? Crafters need resources...and Master Crafters need EXCELLENT resources. Each server is a little different in pricing...but the resources needed don't change. I've made LOTS of money off of not only resourcs, but high-quality finished goods, and I take pride in my crafting skills. And you don't have to rape people on resource costs. 1.5-2cpu for just about anything will keep mucho casho in your pocketo :)

        Good Luck, people :)

so as to what will sell and what wont only those things that stand out will ever sell wich are things that take time to get or sheer luck!

        This is simply not true.
For crafted ITEMS, yes... your item needs to stand out.  That's why brand names and other techniques always yield good results (I have a steady income selling CDEFs).
But since the economy is a PLAYER oriented economy, the necessary resources are never "dropped" (ie, loots). They are painstakingly harvested by other PCs. I gave up surveying some time ago. Now I buy raw material on the Bazaare. I find that there's only so much copper available (copper being the highest conductivity metal, and thus best for blasters) for me to buy. For example last time I bought a stack of resources, there were four options of copper:
        1 stack of 1500 for 3000cr
        1 stack of 1500 for 3000cr
        1 stack of 1500 for 3000cr
        1 stack of 400 for 2000 cr
The first two were very low quality copper. I bought the middle one. Once I did, the only options left were the expensive and small but high-quality stack and the two identical lousy stacks.
Those still sold: artisans that came after me still needed copper.
        SWGs player economy rocks EQs.

How about a "get somewhat rich, but not so quick" suggestion?

Grind Creature Handler to master (Ok, it takes forever, and is worthless in PvP, but it still can be useful in PvE).

Get some combat skills-choose your preferred type.

Go to Dathomir and do Mutant Baz Nitches/Endor and do Blurrg missions for about 20k credits.

      Repeat furiously.

You now have 3 million credits and 3 million XP.

That's how I made my fortune, though it can take weeks if not months.

As for the previously suggested resource gathering, I'd agree that the market is getting saturated, and one cannot rely upon always selling the resource. The danger is that (unless they fixed it since I last used the bazaar 6 months ago!) the resources disappear if your item doesn't sell. I'm not sure if that's true.

This way, you run the risk of not selling and losing your radioactives. The other risk is that the resources shift, and it can take a lot of time and effort to find additional resources (I do this, but to supply my guild's power needs for harvestors, etc. and I will tell you that it can be painfully boring to search out those 60% and better spots, and then find them to be fully "camped" by other ion generators already). Also remember that you lose some cash evey time you redeed the generators, so this scheme will not necessarily pay off 100% in the manner stated. It does work, though, if you can arrange sales of the resources.

In theory this would work to make money. Assuming you can make the money to buy the equipment (or can make the equipment yourself), the power would certainly sell at 1 CPU (although you will damage the market in doing so).

The reason this will not work is simply this: Everyone has been circulating the 'value of mining and selling resources.' It works because there are people out there who can not or do not (what? I didn't say lazy?!) mine their own materials. But now, there are people doing this everywhere. The result is, the market is rapidly flooding with resources. On Kauri, I was in the bazaar the other day, and in coronet alone there were in excess of a couple thousand listings per subcategory.

Welcome to the brilliance of the market, as it matches real life. With the market flooded, nobody will be able to sell consistently at all. Result: all those people hoping to get rich will fill the market with their hard earned materials, sell nothing and give up.

So, my guess is, for the next month or two (already started), the market will be so overwhelmed, and people will not be able to sell reliably. The impatient will give up, and in about two months the market will begin a down swing.

If you want to try and ride the market, here are my recommendations: The only way to make money is to find out what people need, and sell it to them at a REASONABLE price. Don't bother trying to sell low quality cortosis siliclastic ore (which no one needs specifically) for 20 cpu.

The reason I say a reasonable price is because there are plenty of people mining out there, and no resource will be unique to you. So if someone undercuts your sale price, you don't sell. I also ask for a reasonable price on behalf of all the idiots who will pay your outrageous price and reinforce the notion that you can gouge people.

      hmm, forgive my rant

      =)

The problem I see with selling and marketing your resources is the simple fact that no one wants to do the research it takes to market the right goods!
Everyone wants to sell what he or she digs up from out of the ground but if you are digging up junk that no one can use then you will never sell it!
Steel, such as Duralloy or Carbonate Ore will always sell no matter what the numbers are because those materials are so rare.. ( at least on Starsider they are ) But it's those materials that everyone wants! Same with Tatooian Fiberplast. It's the materials that Elite Professional need to make the top quality stuff that sells!
I dug up some Tat. Fiberplast with good numbers and took it to Corenet and got rid of it in 30 minutes! and at 10cpu! 350k of the stuff! Now if that didn't make my night I don't know what did. You do the math! But the guy that bought it was a master medic and that was the type of Fiberplast that was used in all his medicines he makes.
You have to do the research to sell your wares. Find out what people want and only go for those minirals. If you just dig anything up then you're going to be eatig it for breakfast!
Ya, there is a market for grinding steel or copper but who wants to take all the time and energy ( literally ) to dig up stuff thats only worth 2 cpu? Especially if you're only sitting on a 65% find.
This is like any common sense thing you do in life. Do the math. Do the research. take your time and sell whats hot and usable.

An additonal note to Burts way:Once you get to know the resources and what they are for,I.E. med uses, weapon manufacture, armorsmiths,Chefs, you can really start cleaning up money wise.At this time my partner and I sell only the highest quality resourses,900+quality only, to the best artisans on our server. They have come to know us and drool at the collection of resources on our vendor. We both are trying to open our FSS so you can tell this doesnt take all our time.(he has mastered 12 proffesions and I 13.)We are both millionares many times over and our resouce buisness maybe takes up 1/8 of our playtime.

      Very misleading title!
Get rich quick????? You need to be a half millionaire to try this method!
A decent fussion gen will cost you 90k to buy and if you want to make one then who will have to just grind up to master architect.... So much for a few start up credits. You will also need a minimum of novice artisan to survey for resources. Oh and BTW don't sample radioactives, unless you have a friend who wants to grind medic healing your burns.
If you really want to make a decent bit of cash, not quickly but steadily, either find a big bunch of harvesters and see who owns them and offer to place some for him using your 10 lots for a weekly rental fee, say 70k per week for 10 lots. Or get your self some personal mineral extractors, novice artisans make them for about 1k each, again go find a large collection of mineral harvesters and put them down there and harvest what everyone else is. [never harvest solid petrochem unless you have a buyer for it, its not a good seller.] You also need to put a wind or solar generator down to make yourself self sufficient in power, again available from a novice artisan, rather than buying power off the bazaar, and again, just look where everyone else has their generators. You may want to run 3 gens for a week to get a good supply in stock then drop 2 so you have more harvester slots. You may also have a friend who you can go into partnership with, use 6 of his slots to harvest power and the other 14 to harvest minerals and split the profit. You can also sell off any excess power, it is always a good seller.
If you do the "look where others are mining"  then you will save having to have survey skills, 15 skill points, and you should be able to harvest about 50k of resource in a week on a spot above 60%. Break it up into small bundles and sell for 2 cpu, no matter what the quality, on the bazaar. With your first lot of money either buy a bigger generator or get a MEDIUM BER 10 harv. Don't buy large ones, they are not cost effective for small operations. Medium harvs sill only take up one slot so replace your personals as quick as you can with mediums.
Then just keep repeating the process. I helped a complete newb make 500k in a 3 weeks doing this. You can also, once you get going, diversify to harvest stuff for chefs and medics, but the thing to remember is you will ALWAYS get rid of any mineral resource a lot easier than anything else.
Then when you have got about 600k in the bank and are an accomplished surveyor, try the get rich quick scheme above!

      Burt.
