    UI Commands for crafting macros

Im sending in this guide as i dont see any great deal of information on it
in one place all though it is probably
the simplest most usefull way to make a macro.

    The Commands

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all make yourself comfortable with the following commands and there
    syntax (or write them down)

    /ui action toolbarSlot##
    /selectdraftSchematic ##
    /pause #
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype

All spacing and capitalisation must be the same (to an extent) or it wont
    perform the command (often
    without an error/unknown command message).

A ; is needed at the end of each command if you are writing a string of
    commands eg;

    /ui action toolbarSlot05; /selectdraftSchematic 07

If you cant be asked to put these in starting on a new line works just
aswell (mainly used if your just typing
the command straight into your chat bar).

    Command usage

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    /ui action toolbarSlot##

This command will use a slot in your shortcutbar, 00 being the first slot 11
    being the last.

    /selectdraftSchematic ##

This command selects the item you want to craft. The items can be found in
    your datapad under the draft
schematics tab 00 being the first schematic in the datapad 01 being the one
to its right and so on (all
though there seems to be some bug in the game at the moment that prevents
    you from selecting a
    schematic anything over place 16)

    /pause #

Used to .. erm pause, used to create a gap in your macro to allow you to do
    something (Like selecting
resources) Also used to get the timing right on your macro.

    /nextcraftingstage

Used twice once your resources have been selected (Skips the sections where
    it shows the experimental
stats of your item (But doesnt actualy show it)). You will also want to
    disable confirm crafting actions in
    the options pannel under misc.

    /createPrototype

Used after the /nextcraftingstage command again has to be used twce (The
first time creates the item the
second time finishes the crafting session.)

    Creating the macro

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all i recomend starting with a clean shortcut bar, Youll need 3 or
    4 (maybe 5) crafting tools and a
slot for each one plus a spare slot for your macro button.

The macro im currently useing is this

    /ui action toolbarSlot04
    /selectdraftSchematic 06
    /pause 5
    /nextcraftingstage
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype
    /createPrototype
    /pause 4
    /ui action toolbarSlot05
    /selectdraftSchematic 06
    /pause 5
    /nextcraftingstage
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype
    /createPrototype
    /pause 4
    /ui action toolbarSlot06
    /selectdraftSchematic 06
    /pause 5
    /nextcraftingstage
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype
    /createPrototype
    /pause 4
    /ui action toolbarSlot01

ill use a second copy to annotate it for all those ppl who opend the guide
just to cut and paste the macro
    straight from it.

/ui action toolbarSlot04 <= Selects your first crafting tool (Change number
    to match correct slot)
/selectdraftSchematic 06 <= Selects the item your about to craft (Change
    number for right item)
/pause 5 <= Pause to give time to select resources (Might want to alter
    this)
/nextcraftingstage <= Skips the items experimental stats
/nextcraftingstage <= Skips the customisation phase
/createPrototype <= Starts the countdown untill the item if finished
/createPrototype <= Closes the crafting window
/pause 4 <= Time given to allow the window to be closed (could be shotend)
    /ui action toolbarSlot05 <= Second crafting tool
/selectdraftSchematic 06 <= Second schematic (Can be changed to make
    multiple items)
    /pause 5 <= ect ect
    /nextcraftingstage
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype
    /createPrototype
    /pause 4
    /ui action toolbarSlot06
    /selectdraftSchematic 06
    /pause 5
    /nextcraftingstage
    /nextcraftingstage
    /createPrototype
    /createPrototype
    /pause 4
/ui action toolbarSlot03 <= Loop (You set it to use the slot you have the
    macro button in so it
loops its self an unlimited amount of times). If you want to stop the loop
either move the macro button or
find the command which clears all actions, cant remember it.

And thats about it. Im sure theres parts missing so ill update when i get
    round to it/get flames.

Practicing seems to have been modified, possibly to avert practice grinding.

If you have a current tool open, when a practice crafting session finishes (timer on prototype hits 0) it will END any current session. No matter at what stage the current tool is in. This only occurs when practicing, if actually creating the item it will not cause current tools to end.

Possible solutions include crafting full items and taking the resource hit and destroying them, or attempting to time your sessions so that you are not crafting when a tool ends. Higher level items that work well are Travel packs, no components good xp, and their time is decent. At low level I use generic crafting tools, they take 20 seconds and can usually do 3 tools at a time, manually crafting continually, without practice overlap.

So. Hope that brings to light the reason why most of you are receiving session end errors. Crafting low level powerups and such is no longer very grindable, due to their low time to process, it will interrupt any current session. Unless of course u make them and do not practice.

It seems to me that the XP-killing double "the crafting session has ended" message comes when the game detects pauses of certain lengths at certain steps; for example if too much time )like 10 seconds) passes after you get to the resource selection screen but before you select any resources.
I watched my automated macro run several times, with the exact same game-macro for three different craft kits. It failed XP only when there were undue pauses.

Does anyone know the command to Select Create Prototype when the option to Experiment, Create Protype, Create Skematic comes up.

I'm a bit tired of all my crit fails and I'm sure that there must be a command to do this.

Also, earlier someone was asking for a list of the skematics, there is a list on this website as well as on swgartisan.com I think. Dont quote me.

Ok, I FINALLY solved the Schematic problem.  Everyone who says "the first is 00 and go across" ONLY WORKS for the "Weapons, Droids, and General Items" tool. Here is what you do:
firstly, lets say you're using a Clothing and Armor Crafting station. Go to the draft schematic page, and the first item that can be crafted IN THAT CRAFTING STATION is your 00. Then the second item you can make IN THAT CRAFTING STATION is 01, and etc. Thus, it changes for everyone. By the way, you still go left to right.

Ok, a lot of you are having the same problem as I was with the message "The crafting session has ended" so i experimented a little bit and was able to come up with a macro.  You will still have to select the resources...
First start the macro on the first one the same:
      /ui action toolbarSlot##
      /selectdraftSchematic ##
      /pause #
/ui action toolbarSlot## (this is spot where you place another macro which I will give you below)

      The next macro goes:
      /nextcraftingstage
      /nextcraftingstage
      /createPrototype

This really doesnt do anything different but split it in 2 macros, but in my case it solved my problem; maybe it will solve yours too...

There is a command for making items on practice too.

Just make the command line go like this:

        /nextCraftingStage; /nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype no item; /createPrototype no item

Works everytime for me and I ASHURE you that xp is granted! I am not shure why you double those commands but you do. ,)

There is no command to auto select resources, the devs did this on purpose becuase they didn't WANT people to be able to fully automate crafting.   Also there is very strong evidence that these macros no longer work. As of yesterday I was able to load the tool and the schematic I wanted using the above commands, but the /nextcraftingstage (as well as /Nextcraftingstage and /NextCraftingStage) command no longer does anything, even when you load the crafting tool manually and type it into the chatbar. Also /CreatePrototype definately seems to be bugged as it closes the tool without completing the item OR giving you experience but DOES take your resources.

If anyone can confirm this to be incorrect please do. I WANT TO BE WRONG. But as of now I have not been able to get any of these macros to work correctly, and have seen many posts to this effect.

They work, but you can't test them manually. When I tried my first macro I want through it step-by-step to test each command before letting it run... and the /nextC commands fail miserably from commandline. I have a feeling people used the commandline to get around the critical failure, which is why that portion doesn't work manually.

However, if you put it all in a mcro and run it, it works just fine. Not logical, but workable.

      A couple notes:

The response 'The crafting session has ended!' is normal.

Be sure you are not near a Crafting Station or a droid that acts as a Crafting Station. They can cause a loss of resources with no xp or items made.

The 'no critical failures' exploit only works with architect items.

Everybody is going to have different schematic numbers. You must experiment to determine yours. Simply start a crafting session manually, type in '/selectDraftSchematic 00' and hit enter. Write down the name of the item selected. Click on 'BACK', then ctrl-UP so you don't have to type the whole thing again. Delete the 00 and type 01... etc. Repeat until you have found all the items you might want to macro craft.

Modify both lines of '/createPrototype' to '/createPrototype practice no item' if you want only the xp (with 5% bonus) and not the items. If you have enough resources, this helps you level up like crazy in the early skills. I did this with survey tools, then with wind generators. Only took a couple hours to make Novice Architect. Having enough resources is the key.

An easier and more accurate way to determine the number of your schematic is to look in your datapad under Schemtics. You'll see a list of all the items you can currently make. The number of the schematic starts with the first one at the very top left of the list and is schemtic 00. They are then numbers moving right to left, so that the next one is 01, then 02, 03, and then next row all the way to the left is 04 and so on. This should make it a bit more clear.

thanks so much for the tips!

yet i am still confused about the schematics.  The numbers I put in the macro never seem to match the schematics in the datapad, whats up? Am I looking in the wrong place?
      Thanks much!

Does anyone know how to automate the entry of the resources? Why doesn't SWG include some kind of API giude for their scripting language? Including all comands?

The schematic number appears to be the one relative to the items you can make with that tool.  So the 35th valid item on the list, persay, would be /selectdraftschematic 35.
