Rancors for Xp in live not much to do.. Tuskens camped Deathwatch Camped corvette is a fairly fun place (as its single instanced) kammiruth and rancor at knight levels and nightsisters as well. Run through weapons facitlity to get holocrons for friends/guildies. Also hit the dark jedi on dant and naboo (one spawn is 500m outside our city lol poor chap. Why you gonna add some mobs for us?? oh and reasons why well NS for lances to sell tuskens for crystals and al else is xp Nightsisters give decent xp but.... take too long to kill
I'm assuming by high level you are referring to those working on the Guardian tree.
In that case all that will give exp is:
Enraged Bull Rancors
Enraged Rancors
Bull Rancors
High level Night sisters.
That would be all.

I'm Guardian 4/4/4/1 as of right now, should be complete by this weekend.
Initiate tree: I started when permadeath was around. I stayed close to my hometown and friends, hunting first Pikets from missions, then Huurton Howlers when I found out they were same XP, but a LOT easier to kill (less saber decay). Later on in the Initiate tree, I moved to Endor for something different and hunted Arachnes, Bloodseeker Mites, Hanadaks, Bordoks and you name it. Ironically in the zone pretty much where the DW bunker has gone live now.
Once reaching Apprentice, I 'had' to move to Dathomir since the 64k HAM lairs spawn tons of mobs that are good xp/work ratio. Kamuriths were a favorite targets, but I'd hit all types of Rancors except the bulls. I tried Gaping Spider Hunters for a while, but they ended up being too much hassle.
At Knight, XP tanks horribly so you can only hunt Kamurith Defilers, and then Rancors or above to hit the XP cap of 750.
At Guardian, XP Tanks again so the Rancor giving you 750 at Knight, gives you a whopping *7* (yes, single digit) Jedi xp since the private_jedi_difficulty jumps so much. After this, you can only really fight Enraged Rancors and Enraged Rancor Bulls. At this level most Guardians I know use the Knockdown 2 power, then Cone Lightning a couple times, to get a nice XP bonus fighting enraged. The toughest thing can be finding the lairs, since they mainly spawn in a well known 'valley' in the NW of Dathomir. You can find a lot of jedi players hunting here, and BH and Jedi Hunters patrolling the area. There is really nowhere else to go though. It always makes for interesting hunting, usually have to fight a BH or two most evenings.
I have been hunting them for months now and killed 1000's of them and calling it extremely boring is just a soft expression of how i feel. I tought the revamp should fix the endless grinding boredom problem but i didnt see any solution for that.

Only common creatures that gives full experience to lights after guardian is enraged rancors, enraged bull rancors and mutant rancors. So all the high level jedi are forced to hunt on dathomir and most hang out in rancor valley.
From Initiate to Padawan I hunted on Endor, Gurreck Forrest Stalkers, Fierce Borgles, Borgle Sappers, Mantigrue Night Stalkers, and Blood Frenzied Boar Wolfs all wild lairs(64,000 hitpoints). Now I'm working on the Apprentice Box and I hunt Enraged Rancors and Kamu's of all types except Defiliers on Dathomir.
they just seem to give the best XP per time spent at my level. also, i can run them from my home town, go down faily easily, and although they only give 400 xp, where my cap is 600, they spawn more per lair, and die faster than the big xp mobs on dantooine.

As soon as you train the Jedi Knight box, the only thing that gives exp is mobs over level 90.

Enraged Rancors, Nightsisters > initiates, Krayt Dragons, Crazed Geonosians, Krayt dragons (not for exp). Thas about it.
