The Technology of it should be possible. Afterall, a Rebel or Imperial PVE or PVP base is essentially a Random Spawn base/dungeon. I recently read in a LIVE EVENT post that the Devs will occasionally get online and give awards or launch a Live Event. Perhaps this is a Live Event that gets dropped from time to time to see how we react. The SOE Devs have been known to log in from time to time and invite folks on missions, too. Maybe this is what some folks are seeing? I think it would be COOL to meet a Dev in-game and help test something or do a little roleplaying without having to create a new character and go to a TEST Server. Thoughts? On the other hand, it could be a SWG Urban Myth.. Hmmm?

In beta there were randomly spawning factioned bases that were much like what I saw of the meatlump cave. They were randomly spawning multi-level faction bases with pretty high level content. Why they were removed during beta is one of the great mysteries of SWG.
omg omg..i was the biggest sceptic. until..just now..i was out on Rori and I saw they 'fabled' cave and 2 hours later..... looted a PH. .omg omg. its insane . woot! woot!

I died fighting from the meatlump king, didn't have anything but swordsman skills so i couldn't hurt him... by the time i rebuffed and went back, the cave was gone
so apparently this magic cave also goes into your screenies and deletes the proof so u cant show it....or its so absolutely captivating that u can be there for many hours and never think...no one is gonna believe me...maybe i should take a screenie

do you remeber thoughs random spawns on talus that were like mini bases? you had to destroy the walls and stuff to be able to get the destroy the base. it was really cool and all. however they never worked right and they always seemed to spawn right on top of someone trapping them in the cage lol. and you couldn't get out unless you had someone duel you and kill you.
they were really cool and i miss seeing them . but i dont miss getting traped in the unkillable wall .
Bockeroo wrote: anyone come across this place after the CU came? i dont know if it would be possible to look inside without being instantly killed
ah i saw it post CU. turns out that they balanced the cave... to a mid lvl dugeon. LvL 66 creatures all around. was a breaze. however the Meatlump king was lvl 81 . It was a hard fight but i ran out of action... and right before i could kill him(he was at 500 health :/.) he incaped and intant DB'd me... i could have done it... if i only had my Stim D packs :/.
Thought I would post this guide because of the recent influx of interest in the cave. I don't know why this cave was incorporated into the game because this kind of content is so high end that it takes an immense amount of skills to even reach the bottom and still have the courage to face the Meatlump King.
Though rare, the Meatlump Vibro Motor gives ten-fold damage to any weapon that it is applied to. Only one of these motors has ever been looted to my knowledge, as well as the Meatlump Energy Wood Staff that is looted from the Meatlump King.
The Meatlumps on Rori are comparable in strength to the Nightsisters of Dathomir and drop equally good loot. The trick is finding them. When I came across the strange cave located on Rori I was very curious as to what was inside, and was greeted by a one hit incap by a Meatlump Protector.
I waypointed the location and came back to explore the cave. This time I was lucky to get past the Meatlump Protectors without a hitch. I slowy meandered down the cave and was wary of the constantly spawning Meatlump Initiates and Outcasts. One of the strange things I noticed were these Meatlumps used Force Attacks with regular weapon, just like the Nightsister. After making it to the end of the cave, I noticed a final red dot and engaged. Now I have soloed many Elders and other high end MOBs but none were as tough as Junot Malik, the Meatlump King.
This beast had a little over 500k HAM and 100% resists to everything except Electricity, which it had 90% protection. I quickly whipped out my 746 Max Vibro Lance and started pounding away with Leg Hit. An hour went by and the King was only down to 50% of his health. 1000 damage bleeds and insane damage hits kept me constantly healing myself. Two hours and ten minutes later, the King was gone. I had over 150 wounds in each pool and I had to switch armor twice in the middle of the fight.
I walked over to the corpse of the King and got the "You have completely looted the corpse of all items" message and *POOF*, the cave around me was gone. I shot a double-take. Nothing. No Meatlumps, no cave. I was perplexed and amazed at the same time. I called my bike and swooped the 3 kilometers South to Narmle, where I logged out. After logging back in, I had totally forgotten about the loot. I opened my inventory and there was a nice 400 mind fire wood staff with over 10,000 uses Still amazed, I swooped back to the WP of the cave and there was nothing. A small group of thugs were spawned there.
Now some might believe me and some will not. I know I have told Jerele about this before and he spent days searching for the cave and got that Exceptional Hammer with Carnage. Once the hammer was looted the cave was gone, just as had happened to me. If you want to try your hand at the Meatlump King, it will take hours of dedicated searching unless your lucky. Good Luck!
Nice dream, I once had a dream that kittens took over the world
I would really like a screenshot of this fabled "Meatlump King" before going off on a snipe hunt. Also, if this is legit I'd like to see what the combat levels are on the mobs post-CU.
