I'd really like the old pet skills system re-implemented... that was a lot of fun... looking for specific critters to learn new pet skills, building pet-skill templates, etc. I'd like to be able to call back the pets that had nice skills... clearly Knockdown's not gonna transfer, but my Fleet-Footed Varactyl was fun to watch.
This was one of the most interesting and durable parts of CH to me... and provided a lot of incentive to go looking for new pets.

(Added for clarity: My point is that "Grandfathering in" existing pets outta be a seperate item than what new trainable pets are introduced)
why not just have one of everyone except the elite animals like krayts, kimos, etc. Gives variety....and also make some really rare ones so that people can use them as a sense of accomplishment

If Beast Mastery expertise were to be introduced, which creatures would you say are must haves?
"Everything I had before" isn't helpful. I need specific names of things you enjoyed having.
Just to let you know upfront, you wouldn't be able to tame things like Krayt Dragons or
Rancors (yes, I know it's terrible, but so is having a tame Rancor!). I know some people
had pet Rancors and we'll work some kind of trade-in program out in those cases.
Well, Rancors would be a touchy issue, mainly because it could spawn an RP perspective (ie RPing a Nightsister... which would mean that only Females would be able to tame them...)

Please helios, let us tame most everything including rancors. Just turn up the difficulty on creatures and make Rancors EXTREMELY HARD to tame. It can be done, and it should be done. You'd make a lot of people happy.
As far as the issue of Rancors goes, I think thats pretty debatable. Does it seem silly having a Rancor fighting in the GCW? Yes. However, we *do* have examples in this very game of Rancors being tamed(by the Nightsisters), so people could raise the issue of why cant they tame them if the Nightsisters can? Especialy if they raised them from infancy.

You better have a pretty dang good plan brother, because its that or you NEVER take my Bull Rancor Baby from me I hunted a YEAR for.
