How does respec work?
When an existing player logs in they will get a Profession selection window. They MUST select a new profession.
- If you choose Trader or Entertainer then they will get all the skills of each profession (i.e. maxed).
- If you choose any of the combat professions you will be advanced to the exact same COMBAT LEVEL that you were before the NGE went live.
A "Character Respec Device" will be created in every character’s inventory with 10 “charges.” Examining it will show the combat level the respec item will be set to when you use it. This is the level they will be set to when they use the respec device if they select one of the 7 combat professions. After using the device 10 times it will delete itself and no longer be usable.

Tiggs, how many times are you going to delete this thread?
Again....
Why is it that Combat characters are allowed to max out the Trader certs yet you are not allowing we Crafters to switch to a Combat profession?
Obviously you know the reason is that a Combat types will generally not switch to this new Trader system of yours yet a great many Crafters want out of this new system and those that remain will enter teh Combat arena as that is the new system you want us in.
I personnaly find it disgusting that you are saying that the time I spent making a Master Artisan, Master Architect, Master Droid Engineer and some Merchant for vendors is not worth as much a player who made a Master Rifleman.
Please tell the Devs to rethink this:
- If you choose Trader or Entertainer then they will get all the skills of each profession (i.e. maxed).
- If you choose any of the combat professions you will be advanced to the exact same COMBAT LEVEL that you were before the NGE went live.
I don't react well to those who spit in my face. Message Edited by Knocky on 11-07-2005 11:26 PM
