That is one of the areas this game stands out over the others. The ease of using the mouse to move around with.
I agree completely.
I've tried most MMO's out, and this is the one reason I never play them for more than a couple of days. When I boot up SWG it's like putting a warm glove on. If I can't get myself moved around without frustration, then I won't play. This was probably the A, #1 thing that drew me into SWG besides the SW name.
Please, give us back mouse movement somehow. This isn't a "I don't like this" sort of thing. This is the difference between me playing SWG and not, as I can't play with WSAD for more than a couple of minutes. This is going to especially suck with vehicles.
Its the same as World or warcraft tho... but, i think its a plus.
The, hold the mouse button to fight.. not sure i like it yet. But I have only shoot crates lol We will see more later.
I coudnt figure out how to chat yet.
I crashed when i open "O" to check the options.
As a jedi, i pressed "S" to see jedi skill tree and, not as much special as right now. I hope I can cloak and FR and do more then what I saw there with Luke's face in the middle lol.
Right now, I am trying to relog into TC2 where i am. but i cant.
I was into the millenium falcon. Alone, searching what to do...
Ill get more tomorrow.
[its late, as a french-canadian, i may make tons of english mistake right now... sry about that]
does not seem to be much diversty under professions so everyone is a jedi is the same or smuggler or whatever else lol i wud want to play what is the point i dont want to be like everyone else all the time i want to be random and have a strange temp with strange profession combo's
overall design looks like it is for a five year old lol pics of movie char's when picking professios or in ur profession log and other stupid things
if this goes live u can kiss my white irish "edit" goodbye i know that means nothing becuase lol they cud lose lol alot of players they will get 2times what they lose or most likly so farwell now it is time to spend many hours asking for a refun on tow soe will never give peace out
i wouldnt give it 2 thumbs down. i rather like it, but i will agree its very "xbox/playstation". no doubt that this would probably do well on those platforms. dont know how you would do the chat part there, but point made

At the end of the day, things are only as fun as you make them... years ago, we thought Asteroids was the greatest thing ever.
I guess begging to keep the NGE from going live is out of the question. I have such a sad feeling right now. I had so much fun playing. after playing it tonight its now "just another game". Uniqueness will be gone. GUess ill enjoy that last few weeks of the current publish...

Well, here is something that hasn't been said yet.
With the change to the character login screen (when you first load the game, but before you connect to the galaxy), there is no more server communication after the initial load. Here is a step by step explination.
Load Launchpad
Log in Launchpad
Click 'Play'
As soon as the game loads, it will tell you the status of the servers (online, loading, full).
After this point, there is no more communication with the server.
How does this affect people? It's simple. Say a server is loading, or full. The ONLY way you can log in, is to completely reload the game. Wether or not the server emptied out for some reason, you will still not be able to log in. Only reloading the game, will update that screen.
For example. If the server you want to connect to at first load, says 'Loading...', you will NEVER be able to log in till you reload the whole game. Regardless of the server status changing. Clicking 'Next' after selecting a character will perform no server status check. It will only check the initial load status of 'Loading...'.
3) The keymap is the deal breaker. It was all I could do to get around the hangar. I do not play FPS on PC's because I can't stand having to move using a keyboard constantly and this horrible forced-WSAD movement just isn't going to work for me. It's not something I need to "get used to", I've tried for many years and it just doesn't work for me. If there is no option (say, a toggle key) to use the mouse for movement, I won't be able to play. Period.
Although I am excited for new Star Warsy content, #3 is going to gate myself and others from it.
AO
