Their focus is the game. I think the lion's share of the profession feedback in the last couple publishes is a fantastic example of these .
. They use these forums to lash out at others, criticize wantonly, and generally feed their own egos. They regularly attack devs and moderators, clinging to past wrongs and imagined slights. They focus on themselves instead of the game.To them, the boards are the real game.
We’re here to play, and to make, SWG.
We have a lot of work to do and the feedback from is going to be invaluable. You aren’t going to like every decision we make and we understand that.We have a limited resources and time to accomplish all that needs to be done. But, as I’ve said before, we will be here (on the boards) and we will be listening. If you’re up for a focused discussion of ideas, we welcome you and you can bet you’ll have our attention.
We have better things to do.
i think the 80% number is being over-estimated and ill tell ya why.
at one point before the CU, i played on 8 accounts, 7 of the accounts didnt even have a forum login setup.
i play on 2 alts now and 1 still does not have forum credentials, i think others have alts still and you are over estimating the number a bit.

i aplaud the effort, post 44 though it may be. but you really don't get it do you. people get banned for less that this every day here on the forums. this, in my humble opinion is nothing short of troll bate. and in no way the way to run a business. you could have said the same thing and got accross the same message is so many other reasonable ways. this is why so may have so little faith in you all.
shame you have better things to do than listen to the main cause of our unhappyness. the more emotional people get the more this sort of positing behaviour you refer to appears - check your internal metrics. the time when people are the most unhappy with the state of the game is when you have this highest number of posts you refer to.
we call for discussion from the devs and all we get is 1 lousy post from you. why didn't you take the time to write something constructive, about where the game is going, or a re-quote of the apology SOE read out at one of the latest game conferences but to your player base instead? or a reasonable talk about why trader takes a year to get looked at?
there are so may reasons why this was just the wrong thing to post.
I play space actively and know it very well I would love to see attention directed to space
No.
There's a reason it's the only part of the game many people still enjoy.
It hasn't been revamped.
now if you play space actively and knows whats going on then you know that we don't want no revamp but that doesn't mean that there are not issues that need to be resolved.

There are only five notes in the musical scale, but their variations are so many that that cannot all be heard. There are only five basic colors, but their variations are so many that they cannot all be seen. There are only five basic flavors, but their variations are so many they cannot all be tasted. There are only two kinds of charge in battle, the unorthodox surprise attack and the orthodox direct attack, but variations of the unorthodox and the orthodox are endless. The unorthodox and the orthodox give rise to each other, like a beginningless circle- The Art of War by Sun Tzu
It felt like a.. thromise. Or maybe a preat. I'm not sure.

You caught the season premiere of Freak Show didn't you?
Yeah, it sucked hard.. but thromise was funny.
That's how I felt, the South Park before it was awesome though.
I played WoW for a while, and I still log in to raid with my old guild once a week... and I was laughing my ass off. My girlfriend was like "...so this is the game you play up there?" and I told her to get back in the kitchen and make me some pie... luckily for me she's a big South Park fan so she laughed.

It's interesting to watch the responses to this topic. Just scanning the replies, it's pretty clear which people are players who post and which are the other kind. The various accusations that my post is ‘flame bait’ are a good example of the distinction between the kinds of posts we care about and the kinds we ignore. Why do some people think it’s inflammatory to say that we’re going to pay attention to productive posts and skip unproductive ones?
Because they’re posters who play. They want the focus to be on their personal agendas, not on the improvement of the game. They want to play the boards not SWG.I’d like to challenge them to do otherwise.
We should all be players who post, people who rush home to play the game, only pausing briefly to add a comment or a piece of feedback to these boards. Our fun should come from SWG.And if it doesn’t, we should continue to work together to improve the game so that our fun, your fun comes from SWG.From the game, not the boards.

Good comeback.
Now are you going to take time to answer some issues, or are you going to dance with posters who play some more?

Ask yourself one question..
Why are the "posters who play" that way inclined?
