One of the things that came out of our playtests this week was many sighting of those old half built housing markers.  In many cases some of them go back to when the game launched and have lingered since.  I went through and added some cleanup code that will delete these things if they have been in the world too long( they not only look unsightly, they also eat up real estate).

Don't think he is talking about those, but rather if you have ever seen the red lasers making a square, they appear for just a second right before the building appears when laying down a new structure.

Are you talking about those building that show up on the overhead map, but can't be seen in the game world. Or are you talking about the ruins that are scattered about the gaming worlds?

You know what I'd like to see cleaned up is that R2 unit in all of the Starports that has been working on that same thing since day 1. You'd think he'd be done by now.

He is talking about a red square ribbon like thing with a pole looking object in the middle of it that represents a structure in the process of being generated from a deed. There were apparently some set of circumstances where the structure would never complete and we would be stuck with that building place holder taking up space in the game. That is what he is talking about. You may or may not have seen this. I've seen it though not a lot.

Why no house packup of cancelled accounts? I understand some people may have left the game due to issues beyond their control, but keeping communities stagnant and not allowing players to build new cities because old ones will be around forever is a worse option.

I agree...those buildings need to be gone whenever someone cancels there account. It's just not cool to see a ghost town in Star Wars.
