Ugh. Segolas, you do *not* know what the 5th profession is. It could have been one of the others, I have no idea why you are saying it is marksman.
Look here folks, let me break down this system for you. There are *5* professions you must master. They are listed in some kind of order, but the order in which you do them is not important. The order *is* important for the holocrons though, as they will not reveal the last (5th) profession. So we have some kind of list like:
FS Slot Requirements: 1) Random Profession -- Holocron can hint 2) Random Profession -- Holocron can hint 3) Random Profession -- Holocron can hint 4) Random Profession -- Holocron can hint 5) Random Profession -- HIDDEN profession, no clues in game.
This last 'hidden' profession is what makes becoming a Jedi very tough, you have to master *all* the professions just to be sure. I doubt we will ever get any information on how to discover what this last profession is, since then a Jedi can be born for every player who can master 5 professions (and that can be done in under a week if you are *really* grinding).

If this is true, then why has no one unlocked a FSCS on their 4th holocron profession alone? Tons have only gotten 1,2, 3, or 4 hints, but the ones who have gotten 1,2, or 3 had also Mastered (FSCS) professions before using a holocron. If it had been a profession other than Marksman for his 5th slot, then his 4th Holo would of been silent, not told him to Master Commando.

Just leaving out whatever other professions I have to do... please tell me how to master Armorsmithing in under week. I asked one of the oldest Master Armorsmiths on my server and he said 1-2 weeks if I'm lucky and really grind. It took him 3. I also did the math... Mabari shirts (shirts give the most xp it seems) only offer 393 (thats with the practice bonus) a shirt. I need 28,000 a box just for the 4 bottom boxes. Disregarding that and even if I just go for Armor 3 alone, thats over 3000 shirts!
Yes...logically speaking, Segolas is correct in saying the fifth and final profession was marksman. The player's fourth holo would have been silent had one of the prior professions been a requirement for the FSCS. I still think the 4+1 theory is the way to go.

Maybe the holo tells you 4 professions from your 5, even if you got one already. Or has that also already been disproven? (with a silent holocron after 3 masters and another profession to unlock for example.)
Wrong. He got 4 Holocron hints. You only get hints on up to 4 professions, if he had already mastered one of them before using holocrons, he would have gotten only 3 holocron messages. Marksman was indeed one of his required professions.

Mabari CHESTPLATES?!?!? you crazy? they're only 1.5 ratio and require a BUNCH of components
Start with armor upgrade kits then work up to ubese shirts. you want stuff with the least number of resource types, not the most. Armor upgrade kits and Ubese shirts are in the 2.0+ ratio range. Running 8-12 tools (enough that when the first finishes you will have started the last crafting), and taking say 10 seconds per tool to throw in resources and start it you're looking at 16hours.
716800 exp to master, 120 exp (for shirts), about 6000 shirts (fewer because you're working up to shirts using Armor Upgrade kits), 10 seconds a shirt. 60,000 seconds, 1000 minutes, 16.6 hours weeks? hardly, I could crank that out in a weekend. And 10 seconds is CONSERVATIVE, you can use a crafting macro that starts crafting, selects schematic, pauses long enough for you to double click 2 or 3 stacks of resources then finishes the crafting steps in practice mode.

There are 4 players who unlocked their slot on their final holocron profession, but every one of them mastered a profession in between. I used to be a doubter, but the evidence is stacking against my previous belief that the 'holocron' professions were set in stone at character creation, with the hidden profession also set. Basically, we have yet to see any player open the slot on their final holocron profession without first mastering another profession.
>>>There are 4 players who unlocked their slot on their final holocron profession, but every one of them mastered a profession in between
Exactly. There was a 5th profession involved that, if hadn't been the one in the way of mastering their 4th Holocron profession, would of been the profession they would have to had figured out on their own. Yet because it wasn't mastered yet, they did in fact get a 4th holocron clue and not a silent holo.
I still don't get it. The 'hidden' profession could have been Medic, Artisan, Weaponsmith, or Marksman. How do you know it is marksman over the other 3?
I don't see 4 examples as being evidence, especially here where Commando requires Marksman.

Ok to lay it out for you ... the holocron hints are only allowed to hint up to 4 professions provided one of the required professions had not already been mastered.
This means that if you had mastered a requirement before using a holo you would get a max of 3 hints.
If you mastered 2 before using a holo you would get 2 hints
if you mastered 3 before using a holo you would get 1 hint.
if you mastered 4 before using a holo then BACK OF THE LINE NO HINTS FOR YOU!
This is data collected from numerous stories of "the holo goes silent" posts
If one of the others had been neccassary for him to unlock the FSCS then giving a hint regarding the commando profession would violate the rule.
