What i am saying is the following:
Use up to 4 holocrons depending on how many u mastered without using a holocron that counted as a holocron profession.
After silent, you need to master 1 more of the 6 to unlock - but since you mastered 4 already, there are only 2 left in that list. So you need to master 1 out of the 2 left.
So if you knew what your characters holo-profession where and it was somthing like the following:
Medic TKM CH Architect Commando Bio-Engineer
And you went silent by mastered the following 4:
Medic Architect Commando Bio-Engineer
If you mastered CH OR TKM, you would unlock.

This is a double edged sword. We know know (or assume for fact) that it is 6 randomly pre-selected professions.
Good news: We can stop trying to figure out how many profs and like the man said, just play the game and master profs, and focus on how the profs were selected/generated.
Bad news: There is no way to determine what the "silent" profession is, if it is indeed truly randomly selected, which I believe it is. It is the only fair way to do it, and the simplest way to select professions for several hundred thousand gamers.

So the theory is actually 4+2? That makes our odds a bit better, but the general theory is still the same. Holos tell of 4 professions, need one more to unlock. That 'one more' is thought to be a single hidden profession, but there could be two (4+2). Until someone masters 30 professions, no way to confirm this =).

You have to get it right:
4 + 1 out of possible 2 for a total of 5 NOT all 6.

Wow, read what he is saying! He's not saying THAT is the list, he's just saying how it works.
You get 6 random professions. Holos tell you 4 of the 6. Then you have to master 1 of the 2 left in the random generated list for YOUR character. There is no set list.

If it's truely master 5 out of a pool of 6 professiond then it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have to master all 32 professions. There are people who only opened their slot after mastering 32 professions.
If it was master 5 out of 6 then you would at most only need to master 31 professions.
That is correct. There was some code pushed out that day in a patch containing certain things Jedi related. The code might have been in for the class itself but the supporting code was not turned on.

That's a good point. Do we have proof of anybody actually mastering 32 professions?
Ok Ok...read through it again, sorry about that...but how is this any different from random 5? So what if you have 2 more professions to select from that would unlock after your assigned 4 holos? Wouldn't you still unlock after 5? Unless you knew all 6 professions, which almost all of us do not know?
