Very helpful post. Used it to find a replacement for my current joystick since it was sorta crapping out.

*cheers*

I've got an old Sidewinder Precision Pro.  It's a great joystick, everything you need and nothing more.  I like the layout, its righthanded only, but I am a lefty and still find it very comfortable to use it right handed, but that may just be me.  As long as it works with JtL I plan to use it as my controller.  For people looking for a new joystick, the new version of the Sidewinder looks pretty nice as well

The CH Flightstick is excellent for lefties.

im using the Logitech Attack 3.Its great for both lefties and right handed people. Its very comfortable and ur hand gets in a relaxed position. The base of it rocks cause it has grip pads and doesnt slide arround even if u jerk it hard.

I'm hitting 2 birds with one stone here.

I bought a ThrustMaster USB Joystick, and it runs beautifully, little small for my bear paw like hands though, but I'm used to everything being made for midgets...

hmm, my stick worked for me off the bat for it. though i did some customizations to bind certain fuctions to the keys on the head, it worked just fine. Though there were certain buttons i found that woundlt bind, but those were maybe 1 or 2. my stick has 12 programmable buttons so being limited to 10 wasnt much of a big deal. BTW, i use the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro.

You spend way too much on stupid joysticks.

I am too lazy to look through all of these, which one is the cheapest?

Thanks for the tip on the refrub. I just ordered the SaiTek X45 refurb from the web site also. Looks like a cheaper way to find out if I like it.

JTL is a few days away, what sticks are you all going into it with? I battle tested the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro with JTL since the begining of beta and it plays very well. Its my stick of choice. If your a beta tester, what stick have you been using?
