Am unsure if anyone has mentioned this - but with the introduction of Respec NPCs, surely that renders the proffession restarter kits useless? - such as what happened to ADKs? I dont know about other servers but on Radiant prof restart kits sell from 8 mil upwards. Will the devs be changing these into anything? Possibly they could change into 1 of 8 or 9 new pieces of furniture/paintings? This would be a good legacy for those who have hoarded them for use at a later date - and originally payed a pretty penny for the?

That is just the High End Content that will be coming out for Publish 29. We want to do alot of different types of content for people to do at the high ends. Some of them would be things like class specific story arc missions, new dungeons similar to the DWB, PvP battlefields, GCW ranks and rewards systems, etc. Basically, we really want to give our high end players a lot of different choices of what they want to do when they log in.

The GCW to me is setting up conflict between Rebels and Imperials. This doesn't always mean PvP content. Sometimes it will and sometimes it will not. The current plan for the upcoming themepark is to give PvE missions in a PvP environment. For expample, players might be asked to stop the enemy forces from taking a piece of land. When they enter the area where this is going to take place they are flagged PvP. They may or may not ever fight other players but they are put in that situation. But this is one of the aspects of the upcoming GCW themepark, it will have other aspects. Of course, future publishes will focus sololy on the PvE players and some will focus completely on the PvP player.

Eventually.  We are using those as placeholder for some of the new content we will be adding.

I'll be honest - It is this line of thought that has lead me to believe I no longer have a place in this game. You people still don't understand why so many of us are upset. We don't want to be Luke. We don't want to have a heoric adventure when we log in (well, maybe some days).

I was Yivvits, living in the same universe that those iconic people lived in.

 

Somebody had to make Boba's armor - We could be that person.

Imagine that!!! Wow paying attention to Jedi and BH, if they would have done this at start, there would be no problems.  Can we do something besides these two profs for once, I mean seriously, I cancelled my Jedi because I hated that everyone was one.


the most recent profession polls indicate 34% of players are jedi and 23% bh and like 12% commando im sure its changed a bit but u need to attend to the masses


The masses are this way because thats all they pay attention too.  There are no CHs because you can't be.  Smugglers are broke, so no smugglers.  Same with everything else.  Why do you think Commando makes your list?  Only thing that has been "fixed" since NGE.  Sorry but that was an ignorant statement you made.

My experience of PvP is unfortunately mostly of exploiting 12 year olds, who shout leet speak and have a better ping.  I don't mind being bad at PvP, but I don't find it fun being a corpse.  hence I prefer PvE

And what about Decay...I don't mind items being disabled and needing to be fixed like vehicles currently are, but I don't want my quest rewards to become just home decorations or become impossible to replace because they are going for tens of millions on the bazaar.  Decay only makes me hate PvP more.

How are you going to make PvP fun for people like me?

We are working on a fix for this.  We understand this is an important community issue and are working to solve it as quickly as possible.

 




So what u gonna do? Raise xp for quests? Add more quests? Or just raise xp for kills?


Short term we will likely be increasing the XP for kills.  Long term we will be adding more quests and other content.

 




No! Don't give into the whining babies who are too lazy to truly develop their characters. I love the NGE and everything you guys have been doing to develop the game and push it in a direction that will make for a more enjoyable game in the long-term. Changing profession progression in a way that prevents anyone from grinding a master in a weekend, a week, a month, even a quarter plays a large role in this.

The issue of vast ghostowns filled with houses of people that don't play anymore has to be addressed.  It kills creation of new cities, restricts where harvesters can be placed and results in pretty much limiting player interaction to the game created cities with spaceports.

 

I understand this creates technical issues but can't they be overcome?  Without "REAL" player cities this game really becomes shoot, kill, loot, next.

Starts 100k credits and goes up to 25 million i think.



Just my opinion, but I think 25 million is a little steep.

I know a lot of players have that much money to throw around but the other 65% of us can barely scratch together 10 million.

Starting at 100k and adding 100k per level of profession to be transfered would be fair I think.  That puts it at a minimum of 200k (at first level) and a max  of 9,100,000.  That's an awful lot of money for most of the players, prohibiting changes on a whim, but doesn't put it firmly out of reach of casual players (or players like me who have about 2 hours a day to play 'cause we have little kids).

Again, that's just my opinion.

Wow. That's really very dissapointing. There's no good reason why they can't be in the game, they added rp possibilities and communication for people (stop by a strnager's camps and make a new friend)... very sad.
