I'd just like to take this time to suggest to the developement team to drop the forum polls in favor of log in polls instead.
 
I think that will help a lot when gathering feedback fromt he players since the people logging in are the ones actually playing.

Hello. I play SWG since Oct. 2004 and i always loved the Game. But now there is nothing to do in the Game for me. The NGE was not ready to go live in Nov. 2005 and the NGE is not ready yet. I understand that you have a lot of Work. But it took to long until something comes. All i see in the Forum is that you are working on this and working on that over and over again. But nothing of it hits the Live Servers until the next Publish. My suggestion is that something that is ready should go imediatly to the TC and then to the Live Servers. Do not push everything in a Publish. I do not want to pay for waiting. I have 4 Accounts here and i have canceled 2 already. And i will cancel the other 2 if i have to wait to long for something realy good. I can resubscribe anytime but until then i will safe my money for better things.

will this work also for changing proffession specialization? I would not want to be locked into certain skills without being able to try out some of the branches for all the proffessions as i see fit for my play style.

I know this post is flying and the devs may miss some posts, but this was post #1000, and it is now post 1750+ so any response would be nice...

Ok... moving to fast to read everything... so I will just post my big three concerns and see if a response can be made

1) Is there any way to get a combat AND a non-combat skill on our characters? I have a back story for my main that goes back far before SWG. It is of a jedi/musician (ie. Tionne of the Jedi Academy novels). Allowing a combat AND a non-combat skill (entertainer/trader) would create diversityin our toons. It also would help return the number of traders and entertainers that have dissappeared.

2) Can we please get the old CA's and AA's converted to something useful under the new system. Even a temporary NPC that would evaluate the old ones and turn them into current stats would be great.

3) As a mayor of a major city I have a HUGE problem with the nerf to the Medium Naboo house footprint many months ago. This did not solve the problem because other types of houses can still be used to create 'walls'. Besides, there is no way to fill gaps left by these houses as no other house can fit in the space which drastically cuts the available building room in a city. Please return the footprint to it's original size and do not punish all the cities that did not use these as an exploit.

ask the dev team if you think I'm just agreeing to be agreeable on this point. They have valid points too - there are a ton of things that need work and making a viable pet system with the style of combat we have now is difficult and will need some thinking through.

That is just the High End Content that will be coming out for Publish 29. We want to do alot of different types of content for people to do at the high ends. Some of them would be things like class specific story arc missions, new dungeons similar to the DWB, PvP battlefields, GCW ranks and rewards systems, etc. Basically, we really want to give our high end players a lot of different choices of what they want to do when they log in.

That is just awesome.....did you actually read my ideas . Anyways I just can't wait to see this in game I think it will revive the GCW feeling for the less hardcore PvPers like myself.

One question would be, if the opposing faction would be able to recieve opposing quests so PvP in those areas is promoted by the quests there as well?

Please, SOE, can you realize just one thing? It's not all about Jedi!!!
 
So far Jedi have gotten their enhancements - now you want to give them the ability to diversify themselves before any of the other professions have even gotten their own enhancements like jedi in 27? This is pathetic - you have more people playing than "l33t kids" who just want to be Jedi to "pwn". Personally, I enjoy medic better than any other profession. I just love how I can be a support class and keep my team alive, even while outnumbered. But right now, I am incredibly weak compared to jedi, and they are STILL getting enhancements according to you?
 
Can you please reply and tell me WHY Jedi have been getting so much love? Maybe reassure the other professions that they'll have a fighting chance against all these Jedi? Or maybe even clue us in on when we'll get our OWN enhancements without these Jedi getting all of theirs before (even though they've already been upgraded twice)?

Honestly. It is because the final decision to cancel the expansion just happened less then two weeks ago. Since that time, we have been figuring out what it is that the game needs out of its high end content, and then trying to come up with fun, cool ideas for that content. The first draft of the GCW themepark design document was just finalized a few days ago. So you are actually hearing about these changes pretty quickly.



A curious mind ponders:

All though I think its great that the entire team, including the expansion team is now on live development which is going to help a lot...will we ever see this mysterious "4th expansion" become the next expansion, next year (or whenever the next expansion comes out)?

Or at the least, what did you guys want to do with the 4th expansion before it was cancelled?

I'll agree with you here.  Droids are a key part of the SW fantasy.  But droid engineers are not.  What we should've done was implement droids as a player race and really give players the opportunity to experience them as part of the game.  I know this may be misunderstood so let me be clear:  we're not adding droids as a playable race.  In the grand scope of things, however, it's as you said.  We missed the boat on them.

We're going to keep looking for ways we can build on what we do have in SWG that meets the SW adventure criteria.
