ok maybe those are filtered.. but I don't think we try to get the hard questions removed. It's filtered because there are so many questions.

I know there hasn't been an official announcement, but what cities and what dates? Or when is the official announcement on this info going to be made?

Devs can you get the details on this. I'm not even sure myself. I know it's fairly soon though.

That's the plan.

Does this mean for example that the first 2 professions will have this edge over all other professions and then 2 more approx 2 months later until all are completed? If so, which 2 professions are first to be elite?

Yes.  It's either that or no profession updates for the next 6 months (or whatever the time frame is).

Jedi & Bounty Hunter are on the books for first pass.

Respec NPCs are going with pub 28.  This needs MAJOR Clarification

NPCs will be stationed in some cities that allow you to change your profession for a price.  As a gift for publish 28 everyone gets one respec from the NPCs for free.  The NPCs work essentially the same as the respec devicesAre these going to be TIED to the persons CL or what?

About the specilization Tree.

Will The GCW Tree tie into an FRS Of some sort?

I for one would really like to have the Dark Jedi Knight Title over my head.

This of course, is just wishful thinking.

-Question 2-

Will Crafters be able to respec to combat charachters?

Maybe I dont want to peddle armor forever

Eh???  We were told months ago this was being looked at since there was such an outcry...

And Smed said yes to it today, but not in the next time....so what should we think now about that?

Hi got a few questions

1)     Is there any chance that Jedi ever will be a profession that u'll need to work to get like it was pre-nge?

2)     Are we ever gonna see a force ranking system again or something similiar? And what about light and dark jedi status? Maybe with the profession specialication...?

3)     Would it be posible to do the 2x or 3x weekly server maintenance on euro-server at a time that would fit euro players? I understand this wouldn't be posible with publishes         and hotfixes

Best regards
LeskiL

Hi everyone,

Lots of talk about the "secret" project which really isn't a secret anymore. We are doing a playable demo for E3 and Swede is working on the team that is putting that together. The project is actually going to be larger then just the demo and become a new themepark with a GCW theme (lots of Rebels v. Imperials) to it, which will be put into the game in publish 29.

The intention of this themepark is to cover our bases with E3 and develope a new set of repeatable, high end content for all of you.

The expansion team, which is no more, is now working on nothing but high end content that will be sent out in our regular publishes.

Thanks SpaceRancor! PLEASE tell me this GCW content will be for both PvE and PvP GCW participants...

That is just the High End Content that will be coming out for Publish 29. We want to do alot of different types of content for people to do at the high ends. Some of them would be things like class specific story arc missions, new dungeons similar to the DWB, PvP battlefields, GCW ranks and rewards systems, etc. Basically, we really want to give our high end players a lot of different choices of what they want to do when they log in.

This is the best news I have read so far.

But please no more timed spawns. I have just spent 3 hours waiting for Commander Razor to Spawn so I can complete one of my final Mustaphar mission. How is that supposed to be fun.

If I didn't have two monitors and this thread to entertain me I would have gone mad!

Honestly, I'm not impressed with anything I've read as far as "what's in the pipe" and so forth. The simple fact of the matter is that pre-CU (and yes even CU!) was an infinitely more engaging, unique and fun game. We're comparing apples and oranges here when you start comparing the legendary game that was pre-CU SWG to post-NGE SWG; like comparing an etch-a-sketch to digital workstation.

Does the NGE have it's cool points and some fun? Sure, I guess so. But the fact is unless the Dev team can CONSTANTLY pump out new quests, publishes and fixes, the NGE is already dead. What do you do once you've snagged the only decent loot left and done all the silly quests? You PvP. Let's face it, the PvP now is about as engaging as a handheld Tecmo Bowl game..meaning it's fun for a bit but then gets REALLY old REALLY fast once you've realized that everyone is the same and weapons are basically identical.

There are two reasons I'm still playing this game:

  1. I paid for 1 full year right before the NGE was announced. So yes, I was up a creek without a paddle.
  2. I'm holding out some hope that within the next 9 months or so before my sub runs out, the Dev Team will realize that this was a horrible experiment that should have been rolled up into a Nintendo game.

Say what you want Smed, but you dropped the ball bigtime. I would expect a company as huge as Sony to step up and admit that the NGE (and especially it's implementation) was a disaster and at least EXPLORE the possibility of opening up some "classic" servers. I'm quite certain that 50% of the current servers could be closed to make room as they are all but dead anyway.

Let's get real here, SOE. Let's get real.
