I have a question which I believe is more than fair:
If this NGE was supposed to make this game easier to fix and implement things, why is each Publish getting further apart with no explanation why? Additionally why would you change to an every 2 month Publish Schedule without showing the respect to the community of ADVISING THEM OF SAID CHANGE?

What I would like to know is.. is anything being done about the broken "action packed" combat system? Like the issue of it being so fast that servers can't keep up with it. For example, the MAJOR iusse with speicals not working... getting messeges like "You can not attack while fighting".. and so on and so on.. Do you know if it is being addressed? Sorry for re-posting.. but this must be answered!

ok... you said that there wasn't a "Secret Project"... yet Swede said that he and several other were being reassigned to work on a Project, that he couldn't discuss....
Which, as we all know, can't be Expansion IV as that has been shelved until you get the bugs fixed in the existing publish.
Leastways, that's what you told us in th epost where you said that you'd not heard of an expansion "First I heard of it" and then in the same paragraph said that there HAD been an expansion but that it was now stalled.
Now, logically this 'expansion' can't exist in all three states at once, ie, "there is no expansion" "there is an expansion but I've not heard of it" and "there is an expansion but its been shelved".
Not unless you've got Schroedingers Dev and have started research on Quantum Game Design?
Please enlighten me as to WHY you think anyone with more than 3 or 4 years of experience in Networking or Programming wouldn't instinctively know SQL inside and out?

Not what I was saying. I know SQL/Oracle, it's hardly "easy stuff" and anyone who thinks they can recreate the pre-cu game (and for more than 4 people playing at once) is high. Seriously. Good luck with that far fetched dream though.

John, what happened to your plan to reincorporate Creature Handler in some capacity?
it's on the list.. but lower down than I would like. One thing I don't get to do in my job is only have them work on the things that I want them to.... although I will be the first to admit that would be fun I suspect the bunch of really smart people that work at SOE wouldn't enjoy it as much as I would.
I get my "Smed" list worked on once in a while when I **edit** enough.

Ok this isn't one of the areas we've fallen down in. We've even had TV commercials, something that most MMO's (including WoW btw) haven't ever done. In fact we were the first until DDO did it on Sci-Fi Friday a few weeks back for the BSG finale.

i also find it pretty damn ironic that you bring up whats 'lawful' regarding swgEmu servers. how lawful is it to offer me the oppertunity to prePay chunks of time for a game i love, and then completly take away everything i loved about the game?
if i prePaid a years worth of HBO to watch movies and sports, and then 3 months after HBO decides its all cartoons and soap operas, dont you think they would be obligied to offer me a refund?

at least until there are more quests added to the game, it would be very nice for us all, the xp nerf on kashyyyk was a kick in the teeth for all player's below lvl 60.

Smed howabout instead of waiting two months at a time for a publish to fix things what about a constant stream of hotfixes? And to get those hot fixes tested? Offer a price break on the subscription for players who actively log test center hours and submit bugs. Your testing crew would increase 100x and you might actually beable to pump out publishes faster that way.

Yes it's a loaded question, but I'll answer it. I think people that believe they are paying for a beta quit. Am I happy with the state of the game? No way. Do I think it's entertaining for a lot of people? Yes, or we wouldn't have subscribers. Is it good enough? Not yet.. no.
So no, I don't think people are paying for a beta. Again, I'm sure by the very nature of the question that you'll disagree.. but there it is.
