Well, what WAS on the PA site until a few hours ago was the recounting of how incredibly rude SOE was when asked if they would like to make a contribution to Child's Play, the charity run by Penny-Arcade.
PA came to Chris Kramer, of SOE Interviewee fame, and asked if SOE would like to help out with anything at their Charity Gala in Winter 2004. Chris replied with a quote from an old Penny-Arcade post saying that they were not fans of EQ2's art style and did not even address the question of helping a charity.
Things like that make me wonder why SWG Community Relations gets so upset when we bring up things they've posted in the past.

To be clear on this - I sent Gabe a private email which he proceeded to post. I have no problems with people criticizing our games. I felt he was a little harsh on the actual people that made them.. that's all. That's also the first time I had emailed Gabe and complained about anything.. ever.
In 15 years in this business I have never once had an obviously private email posted like that. It was extremely unprofessional and I thought it was a pretty cheap shot.

So is refusing to help with a charity that helps bring relief to children in hospitals because the people who run it said they don't like the art style of a video game your company made.

As a company we don't discuss the charitable stuff we do. If you do something for charity.. it shouldn't be PR fodder. When we have Make a Wish Foundation kids in here I don't want it all over the front page of our webpages. It's just not our style.

As a leading member of Smedley's Smugglys I must say that in this day and age unfortunately...nothing is personal/confidential anymore. Smed you should realise by now that any letter you send to a website(especially one like PA) might end up being spread all over the internet. Not that its right, but its the truth.

I would have to agree with ya if what you say is true....low blow.
There are a lot of things I haven't liked in my 5 yrs of being a customer of you guys. There are times I see myself as just a number that is unimportant. Sort of like a lot of the folks wish to display SOE as over on the FoH brds where I frequent. Then other times I feel you guys do a smack dab marvelous job.
Other than the way you hit the SWG folks with NGE, I have to say SOE has been doing a damn fine job for a while now IMO. Me and the wife couldnt be happier with our AAPs. Nice to see you take the time to speak up on behalf of your employess...even if it was used as a further slam to ya.

It just seemed strange to me to call him unprofessional after one of your own employees was so rude to him for something like asking to help with a charity is all.
