Welcome to my Jedi FAQ (* 01/03/04 *)... Plus understand, this FAQ will not tell you how to unlock the force slot, but this will inform you of the basics of what a Jedi is capable of doing.

Q: I heard someone deleted their Jedi character and couldn't recreate the jedi, will that happen to me if I delete my Jedi?

A: The person also deleted its main character which was what kept the Force Slot open. If you delete your Jedi, Make sure your Original Character that opened the slot is still active. Otherwise, never delete your jedi.

Q: If I die 3 times, will my character be deleted?

A: No. Your character is only reborn basically with same looks, name, and starting items. You loose everything else that your jedi had thou. The only way to delete your character is at the character select screen and to actually type delete name.

Q: If I unlock my force slot, can I create the character on a different server?

A: No. The Dev's have stated that the force slot is only usable on the server that it was unlocked on.

Q: How do I know if I have unlocked the force slot?

A: You will get a message 15-60 seconds after you have Mastered a Profession thats says, " You begin to feel attuned with the power of the Force. Your Force Sensitive character slot has been unlocked " This message will be in white and you will also hear an Ire Chorus of Ah-ha's along with the message.

Q: How do I create the Jedi character when I unlock the message?

A: Sit down, /logout, and click the create button. Once you get the list of servers, click the server you were just on and click next. You will go into the character creation screen and see a message saying you have unlocked the force sensitive slot. From here, you choose how your character will look as if making a normal character but you dont get to choose the starting profession.

Q: After I create the jedi character, where do I start off at?

A: You will start off as you did with your main character, you can choose from the normal set planets and starting locations.

Q: Is there a Hidden Planet that I've heard rumors of?

A: No, there is no Hidden planet for only jedi.

Q: If there is no hidden planet for jedi's, how do I find a trainer to learn from?

A: At the beginning of your character, you will get an email stating that there is a command called /findmytrainer. This command will locate your personal trainer that could be on any planet and city including player cities.

Q: What does my jedi trainer look like?

A: The Jedi trainers look like any other starting profession trainer. When you talk to the trainer he/she/it will normally say, " I know why the force has brought you here. "

Q: Can my jedi learn other professions?

A: No, when you start off, you have 0/250 skill points which will prevent you from training in other professions.

Q: What can a jedi make?

A: A Jedi starts off able to make 3 things. a Refined Crystal Pack, Lightsaber Crafting Toolkit, and a Training Lightsaber.

Q: What is a Refined Crystal Pack?

A: a Refined Crystal Pack is used to make a training lightsaber. The Training lightsaber will use two Refined Crystals. The Crystals are made with --- 10 units of Steel, 20 units of Gemstone and 6 units of Copper. There is no Experimenting stats for this crystal so any material that fits the requirements will work.

Q: What is a Lightsaber Crafting Toolkit?

A: This tool will allow you to make Lightsabers. When you start off, you get a Generic Crafting toolkit which will allow you to make the Refined Crystals and Lightsaber Crafting toolkit.

Q: Can I use a Weapon, Droid, and Generic Item Crafting Toolkit?

A: Yes, you are able to use them, same rule applies as if you were another profession other then Creature Handler.

Q: Can the items that a Jedi make be experimented on like an Artisan with their creations?

A: No. Althought you are able to make Schematics and mass produce the items, but would be a waste of materials

Q: What is required to make a training lightsaber?

A: 15 units of Minerals, 1 Refined Crystal Pack, 14 units of Metal, 17 units of Chemical, 1 Refined Crystal Pack, 20 units of Gas, 14 units of Metal. The Materials require Shock Resistance for best quality. But dont forget Overall Quality is also a Factor for any item that is made.

Q: Isn't there 5 generations of lightabers?

A: Yes. There are 4 other Lightsabers above the Training lightsaber. Each lightsaber will require the Previous version of Lightsaber with Gas, Metal, and a Force Crystal.

Q: Can pearls be used in place of the Force Crystals?

A: Yes. But Pearls are expensive and most Jedi woud say to use 2 crystals and 2 pearls for a good quality Lightsaber.

Q: What type of damage does the Lightsaber do?

A: Kinetic Damage.

Q: Does a lightsaber do any damage to a monster who has 100% Kinetic Protection?

A: No. I have tried this out, even though the combat window says you are doing damage, the 100% protection is Absolute.

Q: Is there a Guide towards a good way to start off a Jedi that I could read?

A: Click this link... Jedi Starter's Guide This is a great starter guide to cover your starting needs and survival.

Q: How many Tree's are there in the jedi line?

A: 3. the three trees are Jedi Initiate - Jedi Padawan, Jedi Apprentice - Jedi Knight, Jedi Guardian - Jedi Master. Each tree has 4 limbs, Lightsaber / Healing / Force Power / Force Manipulation. Lightsaber is the easiest of all skills.

Q: What do you hunt as a jedi?

A: Sorry, that information is private. No jedi will ever tell anyone what they hunt openly on the Forums. This is for the protection of the jedi.

Q: How do I know what to hunt when I get Jedi?
A: Click this Link and read... Jedi Starter's Guide . This Jedi Starter's Guide will Answer Questions that are not in this FAQ and this FAQ will answer what isn't in the guide.

Q: What type of experience does the Jedi learn?

A: Ligthsaber xp and Jedi xp. A jedi is able to learn other exp too, but that is capped as if you were trained in the novice aspect of it.

Q: What is Jedi xp?

A: Jedi xp is basically the same as Combat xp. You gain 10% of Jedi xp from your Lightsaber xp. Using a Lightsaber in combat will give you a 5 minute TEF. (*Temperary Enemy Flag*)

Q: Is Jedi xp only gotten from your Lightsaber xp?

A: No. Using the Force powers or Lightsaber Special moves will gain you Jedi xp. Using any force power will also give you a TEF.

Q: Can I get Jedi Exp in the safty of my own home?

A: Yes if you have a Medium House with a Balcony or a larger house with a roof. Using force powers to heal even 1 point will give you full Jedi xp. you will also get a TEF which if you are on the roof or Balcony, you will not be Ejected. Using Force powers in your home can only give around 3600 Jedi xp an Hour.

Q: I heard having a Pet or Droid grouped with you will give you better xp, is this true?

A: Yes. Groupping a pet or a droid will add up to 25% xp to your battles. If you are fighting a monster that will give you the cap exp already, the bonus wont matter. So dont fight the best monster, fight for the best exp. (*No reason to die or be near death on each monster you kill*)

Q: Does the pet or droid have to be with you at all times?

A: No, the pet or droid can be on any planet that you leave him on. As long as he is in your group, you will get the xp.

Q: Where would I leave my pet or droid?

A: Leave it on a roof top or PA Roof that has restricted access to others. The Pet will get a TEF when you get a TEF no matter when the pet is. If he is left in your house, he will be kicked out and left in front of your house.

Q: Why the roof?

A: The Roof is considered outdoors and a TEF will not kick him out of a structure. Although someone can see the dot on Radar, He can't be attacked. Last thing we need is a pet harmed while we hunt.

Q: How long does a TEF last?

A: 5 minutes from when you used the last attack or force powers.

Q: What if I am grouped with another person?

A: You will still get the bonus, but the other person will still take some of your xp away, but not as much. The person can be hunting on his/her own also and you both will get the bonus.

Q: Why wont another player get any real xp?

A: You are very powerful, your Lightsaber alone will do from 500 - 2k of damage per hit. Xp is based on the ammount of damage you do on a Monster, and if you can kill a monster in 10 seconds and someone can only shoot 2 - 3 times in that time frame, they are going to get squat. (*Jedi is mostly a Solo Class unless with other Jedi.*)

Q: Thinking of Harvesting, can Jedi Harvest Hide/Meat/Bone from what he/she kills?

A: No, what you kill is pretty much a wasted carcus unless you have a friend Groupped with you to harvest the organics for you.

Q: Can Jedi heal themselves?

A: Yes. When you go up the Healing Limb of tree, you will gain the ability to heal your own wounds and damages. The area's include Health, Action, and even the Mind. At novice initiate, you even get the ability to heal your Fatigue. Later on in the different tree's, you will also be able to heal others as well as poisons and diseases.

Q: Is the force regeneration as slow as I hear it is?

A: Yes. Force power Recovery is 5 force power points for ever 5 seconds when you start off. Your Force power recovery will go faster as you gain skill in the Force Power line.

Q: Is the Lightsaber's Decay messed up?

A: Lightsaber Decay is equal to any other weapon you would use on your main character. Jedi use the lightsaber a lot more then any other profession out there. (*This is under debate, but the jedi that I've talken to in game dont believe the decay is higher then any other weapon that they have used on their main*)

Q: What kind of weapons are Jedi Certified to use?

A: CDEF Carbin, Pistol, and Rifle. Heavy Axe, Light Fragmentation Grenade, Lightsaber, Republic Blaster, Stone Knife, Survival Knife, and Wood staff. But please understand, this is Generic for all character creation.

Q: When I examine the lightsaber, it says I'm not certified for the Lightsaber, why?

A: Not really sure, but I believe the classification listed on the lightsaber is not exactly the same as what is mentioned in the Certification list. But we do get the damage as if we were cert.

Q: If I use a C12 Fragmentation Grenade, will I get Jedi Exp?

A: No. I have tested this out, you get Combat Exp. I am not sure if this is intended or a Bug. I have Reported this in the /Bug report and so should any other Jedi. this FAQ is also a Report of that Bug.

Q: I've read that PvP sucks when it comes to being a Jedi, is this True?

A: If you are less then a Jedi Apprentice then, YES! it is true. But please remember, as a Jedi Initiate, you are equal to a child when you go against a Master Professioned Player. When you get in the Jedi Apprentice or higher, you will start getting equal to other players in the world. FYI, Even in this time frame of the universe, Luke would never of survived a conflict with a Force Sensitive, he always ran.

Q: How is a Jedi against PvE?

A: Excellent. You have a feel of Ultimate power when you go against other monsters you would normally run away from. It's a great feeling that I would suggest all try out.

Q: How does a Jedi get a bounty on his head?

A: I wish I knew this for sure but the Jury is out at the moment. I am sure that statement will get a nice arguement going on.

Thank you for reading this, I'm sure you will have more questions which will help this FAQ go smoother.

This needs to be updated a bit...it's a little outdated, but a few changes would get it up to speed.
