I actually like missions like these, makes people form groups for cool missions. Back in the day, this was normal. I miss those days. But a good guide. Btw, you dont need a master rifle to do the mission. But i am sure it helps. Get about 5-6 master melee profs with ya and you are good to go. I did it with 6 peeps. All melee. 2 peeps to tank Mellichae. 2 peeps to keep his buddies busy. and 2 peeps to run around destroying the crystals. After crystals down, finish off the misc npcs. And then by this time, if your tanks arent dead, Mellichae will go down quick.
using master fencer master pistol tka 0 3 0 4 and smuggler 0 0 4 0 good armor food and a buff I just ran into the camp center and did spinn attacks untill everyone but the 2 mind guys were dead ..... then worked on the lutenant guy .... after that i made mellic follow me and a friend killed the crystals ...hes not to hard to kill if you can just take his hits.... me i keep him intimidated ... i have Caped dodge... also eat +53% dodge food and runa C.O.B macro .... so with all that he only hits maybe one if 25 times... and I heal fine in-between
But if he can hit you 3 or 4 times in a row ... your DEAD ... its light saber damage so armor does nothing and he hits for 1200 to 2600 each time ... so even with a good buff most people couldnt take more than 2 hits.
Every time i was hit once ... id spam panic shot or war cry and if i was hit twice... id freign death.
But word of warning ..... if you freign death or stack bleeds... and he walks away from you about 80 meters ...... hes magically healed for some reason .... so only freign for a short time and dont let him wealk more than about 50 - 60 meters.
Oh also ... the poster was saying to bring friends etc
Well i dont know when he tried to do this but when I tried the first few times with a friend close ... Mellichae didnt spawn .... his camp was there and all the sith ect ... but not him , I think the dev's hot fixed it because it was made to be done alone and not with your whole guild
if you bring a friend have him wait 200 meters away ungrouped .... and when your fighting the main guy he can come help you .... best by killing the crystals.

I was in group when I approached the camp and mellichae spawned
Sure when you can manage to bring 5-10 friends with you, you can just rush in but this guide is how to make it easy and when I'm playing (european time) it's hard to find so many friends (combatants) to bring with.
After you killed mellichae you can start your padawan trials. 8 quest to get initiate and your lightsaber, 8 more to get padawan.

Mellichae will not heal himself but with medium armor 80% protection to everything and almost 60k HAM he is still tough to almost every class! I (Master Rifleman) went there with my Master Swordsman friend, my friend tried to kill him but the lightsaber of mellichae killed him in 3 strokes!!
After you finished Mellichae you can start your initiate/padawan quests! congrats!!

Apart from u cant conceal shot him once u have aggro' dragged him....
Just take Sythsteak & a LS resist psg's and ur laughing....
as i stands right now, i am a master brawler, tkm, master swordsman with 4/2/3/0 medic. when i am able to get the quest to kill mellichae i will me master swords/ tkm/ medic 4/2/3/0.
if i get a LS PSG and take synsteak. what are the odds i can solo the quest?
While this method may be effective, it is not fun...
An alternative:
Get to within 64 m of the green crystals (from the outside) and destroy them (need to be ranged for this), once they are both gone do the same to the red crystals, the NPCs didn't agro when we did this.
Next get a ranged to shoot mellichae and kite him about the place while they are running around the rest of the gang can take down the other npcs
Then all gang up on mellichae and kill him, he doesn't force run, nor is he fantastic at saber blocking shots so kiting as a ranged profession is safest
Oh and one final point, it doesn't matter who kills him so long as the quest taker remains alive when he dies.
With as few as 4 players (1 TKM, 1 MRifle/MCM, 1MRfile/TKM, a Mdoc/TKM combo) <-- very long wait for the MRfiles to take down the Crystals. To as many as 13 players (a wide range of professions) <-- huge amount of fun!
But professions and party numbers are only part of the equation. The real trick is distracting the DJ and his goons while someone takes out the crystals.
Oft times we had to empirically test which crystal to destroy. A very risky task, which costs us dearly at times. I never noticed any colors on the crystal structures when I took them out. But noticed that there was some pattern to their destruction: Destroy the North Crystal first, then South Crystal, next East Crystal and lastly West Crystal in that order.
Best is a co-ordinated attack with a group. Use Synthsteak/Exo Proteins/PSGs and if u have smugglers get them to pull agro from DJ, while the rest of the team tangles with the crystals. Once the crystals are down, its becomes a mop-up operation.
