So, You're starting Pikeman eh? Well you've come to the right place! This guide is for leveling from Novice Brawler to Master Pikeman. (and is aimed toward new characters that dont have alot of money/skill)
First off you need to get a Wood Staff, don't worry about stats, you won't be needing it for long. Go to Coronet or Mos Eisley and kill the random spawns outside that city. When you get to Polearms 1 you need to buy a Metal Staff. (I think you get the cert at Polearms 1, is that right?) Do the same thing for Polearms 2-3.
Stay with the Metal Staff (or Basic Lance, you choose) until Novice. The LongVibroAxe (LVA) will be too in-accurate. Now what you want is to get buffs, some armor if you can afford it, some mind food, (preferably Vasrian Brandy, but you can get Muon Gold if you like.) and find someone who is a Master of an Elite Profession (Combat, not Crafting) And group with him/her. Go to Corellia, Coronet (This is where I got mine, you can go to anyone of the NPC cities on Corellia.) Get "a Pack of Razor Cats" missions. They pay 4.7k off of mission terminals. The Females give 3k xp per kill when grouped and the regular ones give 2k when grouped. They don't DeathBlow (DB). (I think) and once you get Polearms 4 you can go to Dantooine and take REGULAR Quenker missions. I'm not sure about the XP they give, but ALWAYS group when you're getting xp. Now when you are Novice you can start on Savage Quenkers. (If you want to, but you can still do regular Quenkers if you want.) Buy a VibroLance (VL) and get it sliced by a master smuggler. You want to get Defenses 1, for the KnockDown (KD). Then you want to go all the way to Stances 4 for the speed. Now you need to start on Savage Quenkers. They give 4k xp per kill, and their missions pay 6.8k-7k off of the mission terminals. You also want to get the Suppot Abilities when the Combat XP comes (You can start using the LVA at x-x-x-2) get your LVA sliced.
Finish Defenses after Stances, then do Offense. After you get all of Suppot Abilities you have to get the 620 Apprenticeship XP for Master Pikeman. Enjoy!
And all you Master Pikeman out there, tell me if you think this is any good. Thanks

The way I did pikeman was normal quenker missions from polearms1 to Novice Pikeman. I just used a Normal Lance(sliced to 1.9 speed). Once I picked up Novice I immedietly trained to 0/0/0/3 as i had 300k combat xp banked. At this point I used a 2.5 speed VL, got buffed, wore 74% ubese and had brandy and muon, and headed up to Lok. Run gurk missions for 40-50k xp per lair. Just spin1 like crazy. Also be on the look out for any gurk lairs(non-mission) where the lair says "nest" These big lairs are the ones that will spawn the gurk king. I would pull 100-110k xp just on one of these lairs. Once I got to 3/0/0/3 I switched to my 3.9 speed LVA and continued running gurk missions. Just switch over to spin2, and watch the xp roll in. Novice brawler to Master Pikeman in about 15hours.
Well, how to level it when ur a total newbie?Heres the answer: Polearms 1: Woodstaff, spawns outside citys. Polearms 2: Now,get a BE pet on the bazaar for 100 creds, ask a CH to train it in group command for you (And name it XpmakerCutie or something..) Group with it (Remember,it has to be NON_CH) and find a vrelt lair (next) If you are lucky, the vrelts will spawn in tons! Kill kill and kill with your Metal staff until you get Polearms 2. Now,youll get a cert for the basic lance; DONT USE IT! Min damage is uber-LOW,metal staff is alot better. I recommend that you grind scout at the same time, coz now its missions time! Find a player city on Naboo (Not n00bo..) and do narglatch cub missions. Remember to NOT BE GROUPED with you pet/droid when you get the missions, after you have2 missions in the same direction, group with the pet/droid and run out to the missions. Kill the 2 first narglatch cubs, hit lair once, wait for next spawn, kill, hit lair once and do so until the mission lair is "milked". If you are uber-lucky youll find nightspider/hermitspiders lair, shortly: Kill everything you see and can kill. Why Naboo? Coz it spawns alot of spider lairs all over the place. So,when u have Polearms 3 and are ready to throw up on narglatchs, buy a LVA (LongVibroAxe) and find a player city on Corellia. Run VYNOCK lair missions. Ooooh crap...Just remember,u cant get narglatch lairs with Polearms 2...Uuuuh run nightspider lairs,sorry..
Anyway, run VYNOCK missions combined with NARGLATCH CUB missions. Why? Well, youll sureley be tired of vynocks, and its good to cmobine different grinding stuff so that you dont get tired of it all or whutever,as long as you have a steady income of xp youll get there,to Polearms 4. Now,if you havent got your LVA sliced, get it sliced now. REMEMBER: Let a Master Smuggler slice it,and give it to someone that you can trust. Now,with polearms 4 and a uber LVA,run BAGERASET lair missions,if you are grouped you will get 360 xp for each bageraset. Seems like alot of work? It isnt,if you really want to get Pikeman, you will get it if you work on it and dont get tired of all the grind, you will be Novice Pikeman in a few days. Happy hunting! Remember: GROUP,WORK and DONT GET TIRED OF THE GRIND!

Why not have different methods in the same thread? A dozen separate "how to level" threads don't help anyone. There's more than one way to do it, and suggestions from others take nothing away from your guide.

It's a great guide for anbody who needs help I am really happy someone put some effort in this.
I would suggest only one thing... for Master Brawlers: Get Offense I instead of Defense I first. You already have a knockdown attack (PolearmLunge2), so you don't need another. And LegAttack2 is very useful skill.

What is it with people and wanting a KD for leveling? The only time it is really usefull in PvE is on NPC's like Night Sisteras and I wouldn't recommend trying to level off them when you only have Novice. Not to mention that KD is a single target only so just get all the speed first then you can get to AE KD that much faster.

I apologize. I should not've said that, and I'm sorry. Post all your methods, it is fine with me.
