OK. I, like many of you I'm guessing, enjoy doing quests in role playing games. SWG has many quests, some of which work, some of which don't. Some are fun, some are meaningless fetch missions for 20 credits. Since I have no way of knowing whether a quest works or not before I undertake it, nor do I know if it will be interesting, I've been shying away from quests a bit too much. I'm hoping this thread can help folks find interesting quests without having to wade through broken ones or

Now, of course cool will vary based on your own experiences. Please don't post rants here about there not being any cool quests or spoilers about certain quests. I'm trying to be positive and do the best with what we've got. Some people consider locations to be a spoiler so use your best judgement. I'd be happy hearing "look for a short Rodian female on the south side of Theed named Rbrix" rather than talk to the "NPC at -4323 3499" For certain things LOCs will be inevitable. Please post in the format:

Quest: Jabba the Hutt Theme Park Missions

Cool Factor: Getting into Jabba's throne room, somewhat interesting story progression

Difficulty: Lvl III or IV in a novice weapon skill is recommended

Faction Requirements: I imagine this would be hard with -5000 Jabba faction but I had no issues with little positive Jabba faction going in.

Location: West of Wayfar on Tatooine

Bugginess: None significant enough to remember, I've heard of people having to do quests over again because an NPC wasn't there, I didn't have issues.

Quest: Zicx Bug Bomb Quest

Cool Factor: First multi-planet quest I've done in SWG, actual reward given though nothing spectacular

Difficulty: Novice in an elite combat profession recommended, lower if travelling with combat pet / droid

Faction Requirements: None that I know of

Location: Search the buildings around the Narmle Starport

Bugginess: None that I noticed

Quest: Rescue The Naboo Nobility from Pirates

Cool Factor: Static dungeon with fair amount of combat, mini-boss character, rescue has XP reward

Difficulty: 2-3 Novice Elite Combat Professions or less with pets

Faction Requirements: None

Location: Look for a woman outside the palace in Theed

Bugginess: The woman who gives you the quest doesn't acknowledge completion, but the quest itself has its own moderate reward.

Quest: Various Quests From Kor Vella, Corellia

Cool Factor: It works Great for small groups getting tired of mission terminals

Difficulty: CL 23-25 Was able to do it with 3 people (Rifle III, Rifle III, Carbine III)

Faction Requirements: None

Location (not exact): Talk to a bounty hunter near the Kor Vella cantina

Bugginess: None so far.

Normally I wouldn't jump into a thread like this unless I had a quest to add, but I have a recommendation; for those quests that change your faction standings, I know I'd be very interested to know both what factions are changed, and what the effects are - for instance, if I do the Jabba quests, will it be more dangerous for me to walk around any of the towns on Tatooine?

Just a thought.

Quest: Rebel Theme Park Missions

Cool Factor: Meeting major characters from the movies (R2D2, 3PO, Leia, Han); killing Imperials

Difficulty: Mastery of one weapon skill is recommended. A pet will help but is far from required.

Faction Requirements: Rebel recommended (I believe you could do these as a Covert Imp, but it's gonna cost you Imp faction points)

Location: NW corner of Corellia

Bugginess: None.  Your only complaint will be the lack of significant rewards - many items are just "junk".  Still, meeting the main characters is fun.

NOTE: During one of the Wedge Antilles quests, you'll either need to bring friends or think carefully about what your exact mission objective is..

Quest: Jedi missions on Dantooine

Cool Factor: Meeting a and helping a real Jedi

Difficulty: DIFFICULT.  2+ combat or pet classes for quests 1 and 2; healers and additional muscle needed for quest 3. Many aggro mobs along the trek from the Mining Outpost and near your targets.  I was able to do the first two quests solo, but only because my high Camoflauge skills kept the aggro mobs off of me, and my high Combat skills enabled me to drop my targets quickly.  The first two quests are similar to the difficult Wedge quest above in that you can either approach them with brute force (group with 4+ members) OR subterfuge and guerilla tactics.  Quest 3 is quite difficult and will probably require 6+ members OR very precise tactics.

Faction Requirements: Rebel ONLY, either Overt or Covert

Location: Northeast of the Mining Outpost

Bugginess: None.

Quest: Nightsister Slave Mining Camp

Cool Factor: Huge Nighsister presence above and below ground

Difficulty: Bring friends...several. Just getting in the front door of the cave is hard

Faction Requirements: Plan on losing NIghtsister faction, no reqs that I know of

Location: Seek out an escaped nightsister slave at the Dathomir Outpost on Dathomir

Bugginess: When I got close to the cave I got the "you have finished" message but the NPC who gave the quest acted like we've never met. Could be because I died. Haven't cleared out the camp yet.

Hi there,

having a high standing with Jabba in combination with a low standing with Lady Valarians boys and the thugs on Tatoinne DEFINITELY gives you a lot more confrontation in the Tatooine towns.

I found this out the hard way yesterday  - with a ping of 5504 millisec !!!! (= 5,5 sec delay !!) due to the 911 security procedures and/or a global assault on the net - I was jumping around erratically in Mos Eisely instead of moving as intended. I was attacked and killed four times in succession by various thugs. Defense was almost impossible as I had almost died already by the time the attacks were displayed as action on the screen.  

So ... if lag is a problem ... stay away from the town, as even low-level spice fiends can and do kill you.

Kiroc, thanks for the tip on the Jedi Missions on Dantooine. Probably the coolest NPC dialog I've had in the game yet. Oh and for folks looking for it, its WAY NE of the mining outpost. There is also a dark jedi there I think, but my character doesn't associate with such types so I have no idea if the quests work or not.

Does anyone know of any Imperial Quests, like anything similar to the rebel. Like where do I go to see some Movie characters on the imperial side (ie Darth Vader)

there is a imperial theme park, which i believe is working...not sure where it starts as i am going reb, but im pretty sure it finishes on naboo where you meet with darth and the emperor.

Quest: Curator of Bestine Museum (I bet ya you didn't know there was a museum in Bestine )

Cool Factor: Nothing special. Lots of trinkets that you can steal for decoration (padded armor chest, etc).

Difficulty: Trivial for most.

Faction Requirements: None.

Location: Museum in Bestine (one of the very few buildings that can be entered). Look around... the curator is not in an obvious place.

Bugginess: 4th mission cannot be completed (he doesn't acknowledge you finishing it).

Jabba faction has nothing to do with the Jabba's theme park. As you advance through the theme park you obtain Hutt faction, not Jabba faction.

Since the last patch (or two) people have been reporting inability to complete the Imperial theme park.
