Q. How to be effective at PvP as Commando?
A. Pick another combat profession in addition to Commando. For example, TKA, Rifleman, Pistoleer/Smuggler, Fencer, CH, Carbineer, etc
Q. Why do we need back up profession?
A. Commando attacks are power, but yet slow. Most use Commando attacks to complement their other profession, with the exception of CH. CH uses their pets to take aggro, so they can kill the aggros.
Q. What other non-combat profession helps?
A. Medic, Scout, etc. Medic for reasons that are obvious. Scout for terrain bonus, creature harvesting, and camping.
Q. What backpacks should I get?
A. Tech Packs. Those bottles looking thingys make us look like we are really wearing a flame throwing tank.
Q. How do I increase my attack accuracy?
A. Kneeling is the best. Standing still. Moving will worsen the accuracy.
Q. How do I increase my attack damage?
A. In PvE, catch the NPC when they are lying down, sitting, kneeling, and shoot them in the back. (Last one is up for debate.)
Q. How do I ensure my target is not standing?
A. Pick other combat profession that has posture change effect or Knock Down attacks.
Q. How do I slow down the target?
A. Use /warcry and /intimidate skill from the unarmed profession prerequisit. Other methods involves scout's trapping skill/traps (for NPC creatures only.)
Q. How do I approach and get near target to use the 16m limited special?
A. Use /suppressionfire1 skill from Marksman prerequesit. This can force them to sit, and some case lie down. Can be down with the flamethrower and the acid rifle. Suggestion is to use a faster speed weapon, so you have more chances to force them down while you get in close for the flaming kill. Alternative is to let the flamer do auto attack while you run in.
Q. How do I do more damage to the target with the flame thrower outside of the 16m range than the normal damage?
A. Use your marksman skill of /overcharge1. Beware, this will degrade weapon conditions quickly.
Q. What other skills can I use from Marksman that will work with the flamethrower and the Heavy Acid Rifle?
A. /pointblanksingle1, /pointblankarea1, /suppressionfire1, /threatenshot. Basically, the novice marksman box, and the range support tree skills all work with the heavy weapons. Pistoll skills works for the Launcher Pistol.
